Having to be in pairs for a group project, two people with mixed feelings work together to create a presentation. Going into eachothers houses is easy until a certain cat wants to play cupid. Feelings erupt, and miscommunication has to be endured. A soccer game in the rain might prove that Descamps listens more than he should.
===
Joseph Descamps x Reader
Warnings: bullying (poor pichon), boys being boys, very confusing feelings, angst bcs of achilles and patroclus (maybe even joseph and reader???), miscommunication in the enemies to lovers department, swearing
This chapter has references to The Song of Achilles book (ik its not the right timeline, but we have to do this for the angst so bare w me)

Chapter three: He is half my soul, as the poets say
===
The scores of our exams are being published. I sit in my seat, eyes scanning the numbers and fingertips smoothing out the paper. Most of them are in the ranges of 12-16, which is good enough for me.
"As you know, this is a school where we like to experiment with new methods. Next week, we are going to try a new approach." I look up from my papers, interested in the proposal of something new.
"You're going to prepare a presentation, working in pairs. You'll be working with the classmate sitting next to you, and then you'll present your work in class together. And for a sense of free will, you can present about any subject. How does that sound?"
I look to the girl next to me. Her name was Louise. She's quiet most of the time and keeps to herself. I smile softly. She smiles back.
The teacher clears his throat, eyes on Descamps and Dupin. "You two, of which I already expect a chaotic presentation, will be paired with someone else." His eyes land on me and Louise. Please, no.
"Descamps and Pardine, Louise and Dupin. Please remember your partner." I internally groan, placing my head into my hands. I look to my side, already seeing Louise and Dupin waving to each other, Louise giggling. I groan again. I don't look at Descamps. He doesn't, either.
Pichon raises his hand. "What if we're sitting alone?" The class laughs. I look at Pichon in pity.
"Well, you can work with Ms. Sabiani." The teacher says in response.
"Look. Pichon is blushing. He's turned pink like a pig." Dupin says, and the class laughs again. Even Louise giggles. She likes him, it's obvious, but what is there to like? I roll my eyes.
"That's enough, Dupin." The teacher shouts at him, the smile on his face gone. Annick raises her hand.
"Do we really have to work in pairs?" She asks.
"That's the whole point." He answers. "And I'm warning you, half a pair's work will result in half the grade."
××《☆》××
As I walk down the stairs, I look up when I hear pigs oinking. I wasn't wrong. Descamps' group of friends are pigs.
When I spot Simone and Michèle in the bench under the tree, our usual spot, I make my way to them.
"Help me gain some decency to go up to Descamps and not punch him in the face." I groan as I sit on the bench with them.
"It's unfortunate for you. Our teacher could've picked anyone else." Michèle says, pity in her voice.
"Should I go talk to him now or later?" They don't answer because they see Descamps make his way towards us.
I fight the urge to start an argument with him. About anything, really. Just to get him to stay a bit longer. I clear my throat at the thought.
"Your place?" He says, now standing infront of us, hands in his pockets. I nod once, and he walks away.
"Thank god that was over quick." Something deep inside me knew I didn't mean that.
Jean Pierre walks towards us with a book in hand. I look at Simone with a teasing smile, but there's something in her eyes I can't really tell. Like she knows something.
"Here, this is yours." He hands Michèle the book. "I put it in my bag by mistake." Michèle thanks him. He walks away with a 'see you later'.
Michèle continues to complain to us about her grades. Simone sighs, mind floating away. I look at her confused. I'll ask her about it later.
I look towards Applebaum. We make eye contact, and I smile. He looks away, fear in his eyes. What's up with everyone today?
××《☆》××
In one of those rare moments, my parents are home for dinner. We sit in the dining table, enjoying our food.
"Someone's coming over tomorrow. I know you won't be here, but I thought it'd be better if you knew." I tell them, handing small bits of food to George.
"Oh? What will you be doing?" My father asks, cutting his food into smaller pieces.
"Group project. We'll probably just stay in my room." I pet George as he eats his food.
"Are we going to meet her even after the project?" My mother says, looking up from her food.
"He, actually. And no." This makes them pause, silence surronding the room. My father clears his throat.
"A boy? And both of you will be in your room?" He says, placing his elbows on the table.
I take time to process this. "Papa, no. It's not like that." I turn red in my seat. "Trust me, it's just a project. Nothing else."
"Of course we trust you. It's just, you know. You're a teen, and teens go through... stuff." My mother says, stuttering a bit. I cover my face with my hands.
"Mama, please don't make it weird." I groan.
"No, it's perfectly normal for your age. If you want, we can forget about it-" I cut her off.
"Yes, please. Forget about it." I cut my food aggressively, face as warm as my plate.
We stay quiet as we finish the rest of our dinner.

"The league of nations, L.O.N..." I fade the rest of the discussion out, watching the way the sun rests on the trees leaves, the birds tending to themselves. Last nights conversation clouds my mind, and I catch myself smiling for no reason.
I sigh every time, biting my lip in my own embarrassment. I glance at Descamps. He's focusing on the lesson for once. Nothing will happen at my place, right?
He feels my gaze on him and gently turns his head. His eye meets mine, and there's a small quirk on the corner of his lip.
"Quiet at the back." Ms. Giraud calls out suddenly.
Descamps looks away. I purse my lips, something stirring in my chest. My breathing is faster, and I feel warmer. Have I gotten sick already?
Annick walks into the room, hair tousled and frizzy. Ms. Giraud shouts at her, and my ear drums are about to explode.
Ms. Giraud gives Annick detention, and with every word Annick said back, an hour or two more.
Ms. Giraud continues to piss me off every second of the day with her strictness and very clear jealousy towards Annick. She finally continues the discussion, and I (annoyingly) decide to finally listen.
××《☆》××
I wait right outside the gate for Descamps. He comes running to the gate but slows down when he sees me, acting like he wasn't just leaping to get here.
"Hey." He says, acting nonchalant. He even has his hand in his pocket.
"Hi. Let's get going." I keep my face blank as I lead the way to my place. We walk in silence, listening to our footsteps next to each other.
Once we make it to my flat's building, I go up the steps, stopping in front of my door and unlocking it.
We step inside, the flat looking warm with the sunlight entering through the windows. I lock my door and drop the keys on my kitchen counter.
"Your coat?" I reach my hands out. He throws his coat to me, the heaviness of it making me stumble. I scowl but hang it anyway.
"Head to my room. Down the hallway to the right." I say as I grab a few supplies from my father's office.
"Want me in your bed already?" He calls out once he's inside. I hear a yelp.
I run to my room. "Descamps, are you okay?" I ask worriedly. He stares at George.
"What is that?" He points to George, who's currently walking toward me. I bend down and pet him, planting a kiss on his head.
"This is George." I carry George and craddle him like a baby. I walk towards Descamps with the furball in my arms. I rock him slowly.
"You can touch him if you want. He doesn't bite." I smile at the orange cat, then look up at Descamps. He's staring at me with the most soft look I've seen him wear. My heart thumps in my chest.
He clears his throat, hand going up shakily to pet George. George purrs when Descamps pets him. There's now a smile on Descamps face, as warm as his stare.
I bite my lip at the proximity. I memorise as much as I can about him.
The way he was breathing, like he was on a bed so soft he could sink into it. The way he smelt like faded cigarette smoke and expensive cologne. The way his bones moved under his skin as he bent over to take a closer look at George. The number of times he's blinked, the number of times he's laughed under his breath.
I dive deeper into my trance as he looks up at me. The way he stared now is so different from the way he did all those times before. Like we knew something that we haven't acknowledged yet. Or chose not to.
Something falls in the kitchen, and we snap back to reality. My face warms up, the lighting from the windows making it clearer.
Descamps walks away from me, clearing his throat again. "The cat's ugly." This makes me snap my head to his direction.
"What did you just say?" My brows furrow, defensive of the cat sleeping in my arms.
He rolls his eye. "Nothing. Let's get the project started, I guess." I glare at him for a couple more seconds, then I gently place George down on the bed, excusing myself to get more stuff from my father's office.
When I'm halfway to my room, I hear whispering. I peek at the slit on my door, wondering what was happening behind it.
Descamps is petting George, whispering words as if he's hushing a baby to sleep.
My aura softens, and my heart bursts with admiration. I accidentally drop something and curse to myself. Descamps hears the thud on the floor and pushes himself away from George. George continues to sleep.
I open the door then close it gently. "Let's get started."
××《☆》××
"Do you have suggestions?" I ask Descamps. He doesn't answer, his head turned to the side. I sigh.
Before I could say anything, he talks. "What's that?" He nods to the book on my shelf. It was a copy of the story of Achilles and Patroclus, with a notebook strapped on the front.
"It's nothing important." I shake my head. He purses his lips in thought.
"Can I see it?" His question catches me off guard, his head finally turning to look at me. No one's ever showed interest in my books or notes. I stay quiet, then after a while, I nod.
He gets up from the bed and grabs the book. He takes the string that attaches the notebook to the copy off. He scans the back of the book and hums.
"We can base the project off of this, if you don't mind." He holds up the paperback and the notebook. I'm stunned in my place.
"It's really not that interesting-"
"It must be if you had a whole notebook dedicated to it." There isn't even a teasing tone when he said that. He meant it genuinely.
"Fine." I sigh, grabbing the notebook from his grasp.
"Good." "Great." "Amazing." "Piss off." "Whatever."
"Mind if you read it to me?" He says. "I have a feeling I'll understand better when you say it, since it's your work."
I nod, hesitantly. I opened the first page of my notebook. Most of the stuff I've written in it is a summary and a review of the book.
He leans back on my pillows. I let him. I started to read.
"Patroclus was a young prince, exiled from his kingdom for accidentally killing a boy, and was taken in by their neighbouring king, King Peleus."
George purrs as I pet him. I shift to a more comfortable sitting position. Descamps' eyes are on me.
"When Patroclus first saw Achilles, it was in a competition run by Patroclus' father. He described Achilles as if he was looking at a painting made with precision and grace." I flip the page. George walks over to Descamps' lap. I huff, ignoring it.
"When they met and officially talked, Patroclus thought he'd hated Achilles. Achilles and his beauty, his speed, his perfection. In the years that pass, they grow to be attached to the other." George meows. The meow that indicates he wants petting.
I pause my reading, and Descamps looks at me confused. "Why'd you stop?"
"George wants pets." Descamps makes an 'oh' sound and pets George. He meows again.
"Maybe he wants you." Descamps says, petting the fur baby on his lap. I sigh and lean in close to pet George. With the uncomfortable position, I shift to sit beside Descamps on the bed. I clear my throat and pet George. I continue to read.
"They knew everything about each other. What they'd prefer, like how I like the rain too much to cover it with an umbrella, but know I'll get sick without it. That's how the two worked. They knew every detail, every routine, every habit, every movement. A love you'd have to fight the gods for."
A page is flipped, smoothing out of paper echoes in the room.
"Achilles and Patroclus loved each other with every inch of their heart and soul. Quoting the book, Patroclus states, 'He is half my soul, as the poets say'. Along with the famous paragraph." My eyes switch to the next page.
Descamps shifts in his place, leaning back on the pillows, looking at the pages where I'm reading off of. I start to relax, leaning back, too. George purrs.
"I could recognise him by touch alone, by smell; I would know him blind, by the way his breaths came and his feet struck the earth. I would know him in death, at the end of the world."
I take a glance at Descamps, and he's already looking at me. George snores in his sleep, making the aura of the room warmer. More comfortable.
His eye dropped to my lips, and I could've sworn I was hearing a heartbeat as fast as the wind at fall. I glance at his, pink and soft, like a cushion ready for rest.
When we lean in, slowly, too slow, my heart drops as he pulls away and stretches. I furrow my eyebrows, a dread of realisation. He's been toying with me. I close my notebook and gather my things.
"Where are you off to?" He asks. I don't answer him.
"Hey," He grabs my arm. I take it back from him. "What's wrong with you?"
"Nothing." I say coldly. "I'll finish this project myself."
"What? No. This is a group project remember?"
"I can't keep doing this. You're too hard to work with." I stack the books and materials in my arms.
"We haven't even gotten anything done yet." He flops his hands in the air.
"Exactly. You're too distracting."
"What did I do? I've been quiet the whole time."
"Yeah, well, that's the problem. You're too quiet. You aren't suggesting things."
"What does that have to do with anything?" He raises his voice.
"Just shut up, okay? Just leave. I told you I'll finish the project by myself." I get up from the bed, heading to my father's office.
"But I don't get why you're suddenly mad!" He stands up, following me.
"You don't have to know. Just leave me alone, okay?"
"Fucking fine. You're being too stubborn anyways. Do all the work. Getting pissed off for no fucking reason." He grabs his coat from the rack, putting it on. He doesn't even glance at me, opening and shutting the door with a loud slam.
I even out my breathing. It was going fine. Then I think to myself, what was? Me and Descamps, going fine? I laugh at the thought. I hated that boy. I hated him with my whole heart. My mind travels to the notes I was just reading.
Patroclus had thought he hated Achilles in the start, too. I shake the thought out of my head, slipping against the wall to sit on the floor, knees to my chest.
I hear tapping on the floor boards. I look to my side to see George, meowing softly. I take a deep breath in, then reach my hand out to pet him.
I hate him. And I know I do. He lingers in my mind like a fog in the mountains. The way his aura had softened, his smile, his warmth. I hated the thought of him, but then he smiled, and like Achilles, his face was like the sun.
××《☆》××
Night comes, and I lay in my bed, windows slightly open for the wind to come through. I'm restless, not getting a blink of sleep. I'm halfway through the project already. If Descamps had helped, it'd take longer, I think to myself, trying to still feel angry.
I don't feel angry at all anymore. There's a sort of regret in me for pushing him away. But at the same time, it's what he deserved. We had leaned in, and I didn't even know what I was expecting. I should've expected him to pull away, but what was he going to do in the first place?
Was he going to whisper in my ear? If so, what would he whisper to me? Was he going to say something about how I write, how I speak? A thought so blurry pops up in my head, and I brush it off. But it felt warm, so safe, so soft. There was a scent stuck in my head as I reminisced on the thought, trying to figure out what I was thinking.
I fall asleep in the process, dreaming about the thought instead. Limbs touching, bending, adjusting. I taste cigarettes and strawberries. I smell smoke and expensive perfume. I feel something soft against my lips, hands cupping my face, my neck, my head, and my waist.
He felt warm, tall, and heavy against me. I hold onto the dream, relaxing.
××《☆》××
I wake up, sweat coating my skin. George sits on the window sill, the sun making him shine like gold. I sit up and stretch. I get off my bed and head to my bathroom.
My hair is messy, and I have a bit of dried drool on the corner of my mouth. I wash my face to give myself some energy. I take my clothes off lazily, tying my hair up and getting inside my shower.
Once I finish, I comb and fix my hair, head to the kitchen for a quick breakfast, grab my things for school, including the unfinished project, and head to the front door.
A stack of paper tied with string greets me. I furrow my eyebrows. There's no note. I squat down and pick it up. I instantly know who it's from.
It's an essay about Achilles and Patroclus, detailed and opinionated. Written on the last piece of paper, sitting at the bottom of the stack, it reads, "I bought a copy. Finished it for you."
I stood still, processing the words, flipping through the papers to double check if they're authentic. I let out a scoff of surprise. My head snaps to a nearby clock. I'm going to be late if I don't start walking now.
My feet carry me to the front gates of Voltaire, the familiar faces and light chatter calming me. I spot Simone and Michèle, and I make my way to them.
××《☆》××
Rain starts to fall. The rain always brought me comfort. The different sounds it made when hitting different objects, the way it sways with the wind, the smell it gives the grass after.
I lag behind Simone and Michèle as they make their way to the field. I look for my satchel, then remember I'd forgotten my umbrella. I curse to myself, finding the satchel. It felt heavier than usual. I look inside, then see a clear umbrella. I open it and twist it around, gaping in awe. There's a note in the bag. I open to read it.
"Don't get sick from what you love." The note said.
There's only one person I've told about my love for rain.
I head outside, hiding my red face once I see a drenched one-eyed boy. I smile to Simone and Michèle, spotting them seated on a bench. I glance behind me as I sit down, finding an eye already looking at me with a small smile. His smile drops, and he looks away when I catch him. I purse my lips.
We watch the match, getting my mind off of the boy with ash brown hair. Once the match finishes, we all make our way home. I look up, seeing the rain pattering against the clear umbrella. I smile, watching the water droplets slip off the plastic, hearing the pattering of rain.
××《☆》××
The next day, I repeat my routine. I thoroughly read through Descamps' essay, rewritting it to fit in with mine. I should be thankful, and I am, but Descamps is making my head hurt with the way he acts. I walked to school, going subject after subject, until our presentation finally came.
Earlier, I'd slipped him the script, tucking it in his bag. I hope silently that he's memorised it.
Annick and Pichon are presenting in front of the class. I smiled softly, impressed by the presentation, and refreshed with the dynamic of the two. If only things had gone differently with Descamps, we could've been good friends. But we aren't. I don't think we ever will.
Once they finish, our teacher calls me and Descamps to the front. My anxiousness radiates off my body. Simone and Michèle give me a reassuring look. I nod at them slightly.
My eyes meet Descamps, and we're standing at the front of the class. They're quiet, and my eyes scan all of them. Surprisingly, Descamps starts.
"Me and Pardine are going to present the story of Achilles and Patroclus and the debate of their relationship; romantic or platonic?" Descamps looks at me, his hand hovering at the small of my back for support.
I start, and faster than I thought, I finish the presentation. The room claps, as they do with the others. I glance at Descamps but see him already walking back to his seat. My smile dropped slowly, remembering I was still on his bad side, and vice versa.
I walk back to my seat quietly. I don't even hear the score because my mind is too occupied with the thought of him. Would we stay angry at eachother always? At the same time, it shouldn't matter. I hate him. Right?
I shake my head. I hate him, surely. I should. I dig deep in my head for a reason. Bullying Pichon and Michèle, toying with my feelings (feelings I'm not aware whether it's good or bad), the way he acts, and smells, and feels when he's near.
I fucking hate him. I really do. I hate him, I repeat in my head. I hate him, I hate him, I hate him.
Then, like earlier, something inside me knows I don't mean it.
At the end of the day, I make peace with solitude. My mind wanders, and I notice that every time it does, they always end up with the face of a one-eyed boy.
Sure, Descamps gave me a finished essay for our project, and sure, he gave me an umbrella that was clear so I could see the rain. So what? I still hate him. Maybe just a little less now.

clearing the puck!
Tumblr media
pairing: hockey player!haechan x fem!reader
genre: a fluffly crackfic w a bit of angst? i guess lol
word count: 1.5k (for now..)
synopsis: you befriend the school’s star hockey player in order to get some votes on your student council campaign, and in return, he asks for praise on your newest journal column to impress some scouts. what a friendly deal, right? …right?
author’s note: hey everyone! this is my first ever fic here and i couldn’t be more excited !! this is just a little wip of what could possibly become my biggest work … just to test the waters lmao if you have any tips PLEASE let me know since i actually hate how this is written! anyways i hope u like this bit! ♡
warning(s): none, for now
Tumblr media
"Please stop shaking your legs. You're making the entire table move." Renjun gives you a nasty look, and you roll your eyes. You shake your legs even faster, just to push at his buttons a little harder. "Ugh— Stop that!"
"Maybe if you guys were helping me prepare, I wouldn't be so nervous!" You let out an angry huff as you stared at your computer screen, which was blindingly bright. Why are you still insisting on using light mode? Stupid student council elections and stupid columnist work. What use was it if you couldn't even complete a stupid campaign work?
"Y'know it's no use if you're a loner, right?" Chenle perks up from the other side of the room, his body strewn on a spinning chair as he turns around in your direction. He doesn't even dare to look up from his phone, his thumbs messily pressing against the screen. Was he playing Clash of Clans again? "You kinda have to be popular to gain votes. And, contrary to popular belief, I don’t do miracles.
"What do you mean? I'm popular!" You scoff in disbelief, looking over to Renjun for moral support, but he simply shakes his head. Huang Renjun, you are useless.
"Writing a column for our college journal doesn't make you popular."
You grunt in frustration, dropping your head to your keyboard. You let out a long sigh before slamming both of your hands on the table and looking up. The loud crash startles both boys, and they glance at you with wide eyes. "Fine. What do you suggest?"
Chenle and Renjun look at each other and back at you, and you swear there’s a mischievous glint behind their eyes.
Tumblr media
You’re never listening to them again. Especially if it’s fucking freezing outside!
You let out a sigh that quickly transforms into a puff of cold air as you look around, spotting the banner hung up above the building entrance. “66 LEE DONGHYUCK — THE NCIT DINOSAURS STAR CENTER” with his face nicely printed on the side. Inspecting his face, you almost laugh at the stupidity of the plan. Befriending the school’s star hockey player in order to socially thrive. Well, befriending is a strong word. You would be offering him a friendly deal, that’s for sure. And it’s not like he would be leaving empty-handed. It’s a win-win situation.
You sucked in a deep breath between your teeth before walking straight into the ice rink. You could hear shouting and the sound of the puck sliding neatly across the ice. It didn’t even take you long to notice your target. You watched him for a while. He’s obviously a natural, every move purposeful and graceful. No wonder he was the team’s star.
You quickly look away when you notice yourself staring. Shit.
Figuring it would be better to just wait until practice was over, you hopped on the grandstands, next to a group of 3 girls that you recognized from around the campus. They were wearing the team’s classic red and blue jersey with a big “66” plastered at the front.
You jumped in your seat with their hysterical screaming, quickly turning your head back to the rink. Donghyuck was planted by the fence, looking up at the benches, winking and flashing his infamous cocky smirk at the girls. You could swear that his gaze lingered on yours for a while, but you shook your head, dismissing the thought. As he finally moved away, the girl sitting directly next to you still shook her arms to get his attention.
Practice went by surprisingly fast, much to your dismay. The coach whistled and next thing you notice, the team was already off the ice. Everyone around patted Donghyuck on the back and sang praise at the boy, who just grinned. A slightly taller, and what appeared older guy, swiftly threw his arm around Donghyuck’s shoulder, revealing the back of his jersey. “MARK, 2”. You couldn’t distinctly understand what they were saying but you could only assume that he was teasing the blonde, the way Donghyuck seemed to sulk at his words. As Mark started pushing Donghyuck to walk away to the locker room, you panic, afraid to miss your shot to talk to the blonde.
“LEE DONGHYUCK!” Your shout reverberates all throughout the rink. Your survival instincts really took over this one. Good work on first impressions! You feel your cheeks heat up as all eyes are now on you. You both stare at each other with wide eyes. How you wished you could just dig the biggest hole on the ground to hide yourself forever.
“Uh, yes?” He asks reluctantly, looking around as if he wasn’t the only Lee Donghyuck there. “Can I help you?”
“Uhm— Yes! I need to talk to you.” You internally curse at yourself for stuttering so much. “Alone. If— If that’s alright.”
Mark, who still stood next to his friend, looks over at him. Donghyuck nods at the rest of the team and gives off some kind of excuse, sending them on their way. They reluctantly walk away, leaving you both alone by the grandstands.
You feel your stomach turn as you watch him approach you, practice bag messily thrown over his shoulder.
“What’s up?” He’s rather calm for someone who just got shouted at by a complete stranger.
You gulp. Is this really a good idea? He notices your hesitation and raises his eyebrows, gesturing for you to talk.
“Well— This is going to sound really weird… But we need to be friends from now on.”
He freezes in his spot, obviously taken aback by your offer. He looks at you with a confused frown until something clicks in his head. His pursed lips curve into a smile and he scoffs at you. “Look, I get it if you have a crush on me, but you’re horrible at this.”
What? You quickly wave your hands dismissively in front of him, shaking your head. “That’s not it!”
“Then what is it?”
You sigh and stare back at him, shit-eating smirk plastered on his face. Well, you asked for it, Lee Donghyuck.
“As you probably don’t know, the student council elections are coming up and I’m running for president. The problem is that, according to my friends, I’m not “popular” enough to get voted on. And since you’re probably the most popular person in this school, if I become friends with you, I’ll be popular by association, which means I might actually have a shot at the elections. Obviously, I know that this is a weird request but we can make some sort of deal — If you’re up for it.” After a completely venting (and probably rapping) at him, Donghyuck stares at you dumbfounded. Great, now you scared him.
Seeing the look on his face, a wave of failure washes over you and suddenly you’re rethinking everything. You knew this was a stupid plan for the start. Oh, Huang Renjun. You were going to kill him! You have embarrassed yourself astronomically and now you could say goodbye to your dear presidential spot—
“Okay.”
Okay? “Okay?”
“Sure. Why not?” You look at him with a mixture of disbelief and confusion and he just shrugs. “Plus, you said that we could make a deal.” Of course. He was only interested because he was getting something out of it. You’re a smart man, Lee Donghyuck.
“Yeah— sure. Do you have anything in mind?” He seems to stop for a moment, briefing on what to say. You look at him impatiently, tapping your fingers rhythmically against your arm.
“You write a column for the school’s journal, right? Isn’t it something like… “Like It Is”? Yeah, that’s it.”
“How did you— Whatever. What do you need?” His smirk grows bigger as he stares back at you.
“We have a few NHL scouts coming over for the playoffs.” He crosses his arms. “To add up to my amazing playing skills, I need you to write a column about me. Y’know, to impress them.”
“And what makes you think that they’ll listen to me?”
“Because you actually write things as they are.” He sniffs. “You have an honest reputation around the school. They’ll believe you.” You ponder.
“Well, I–” Donghyuck quickly turns around as someone calls out his name.
“As much as I would love to continue our lovely convo, I have to go. Lovely seeing you, (---).” He prepares to walk away but quickly turns back. “You have my Insta, right?” You simply nod in response and he smiles, finally walking to the locker room.
“Bye bye, my sweetheart!”
“Wait, Donghyuck— That’s not—!”

PARTFoUr PREVIOUSLY
You broke the kiss looking around awkwardly I mean it’s not like you didn’t like it you just didn’t know what to do or say now. Bakugou speaks up
“Look I’ve been meaning to tell you that—“
“Baku bro!” Kirishima, Denki and Mina walk back up to you two Kirishima placing a strong hand on Bakugou shoulder.Bakugou grunts shrugging Kirishima off
“Never mind we should get ready to go home.”
“Oh..yeah..we should it’s pretty late.” You chime in starting to pack up the bag left with leftover sprinklers “See you guys…” you start to walk off almost speed walking I mean you can’t believe what just happened!!
Bakugou watches you walk off standing with the group for a moment before going in your direction because he ‘Has to make sure you don’t get lost’
The walk to the dorms wasn’t awkward but silent as you made it to the dorms you slow down your pace stopping a few inches behind him noticing your behavior he stops and turns to face you.
“Are you okay?”
“Uh- yeah it’s just that—“
“Look if it’s about the kiss I get it you don’t have to talk about it if your uncomfortable”
“No! I’m not uncomfortable! I-it’s just that it was so abrupt and- I just-I..didn’t know what to say..?”
“What? Why? You didn’t have to kiss me back if you were unsure.”
“That’s not what I’m saying—“
“Sounds like it.”
“Katsuki I-i just think we should…”
“It’s fine.” you look up him furrowing your eyebrows
“What?”
✶⋆.˚꩜ .ᐟ˙⋆✶
I mean after that kiss it was like things changed between you and Bakugou you did become closer but it was like you both tried to act like it never happened. Which was weird because on the inside he was absolutely DYING on the inside.
Slowly he started to notice how you would avoid him it started to piss him off. Are you serious avoiding him after what you guys just shared?
୧ ‧₊˚ 🍮 ⋅ ☆
It was a normal day you were practicing on the field you ending up missing the ball again and losing a point causing you to sit out a round and go off the field heading inside the school for a cup of water as you’re getting the water and filling up your bottle you feel someone grabbing your shoulder spinning you around hastily.
“Um excuse me—“
“You’re excused. Now how long do you plan on ignoring me?”
“What-“
“I didn’t fuckin’ stutter answer me you know what I said.”
“I’m not ignoring you it’s just-“
“I don’t want an excuse give me a straight up answer”
And that was the end of it.You knew you had now real reason to ignore him or separate yourself from him you just did. And it feels weird it makes you feel guilt now that you know he’s not really going to let this go easily you can’t even give him an answer let alone a reasonable excuse. You fucked it up bad.
“I…I’m sorry.” You say looking down at your shoes “I have no reason..I just did it okay? I don’t know why…”
“Look at me.”
You look up at him slowly
“Look I’m just really sorry okay?”
“I get it we all mess up but listen don’t ignore me here let’s talk about this more n’ private later kay’ meet me at the park in the middle of the night” and with that he walks off.
~~~~~
You show up to the park with your hoodie and a pair of jeans shoving your hands in your pocket to keep warm you sit on a bench waiting for him until you see him from the corner of your eye you get up almost immediately taking off your hood to face him
“Look Katsuki I-“
He walks up to you kissing you abruptly catching you off guard he pulls back slowly
“Y/n. I like you a lot.”
“W-what?”
What is he even talking about is he crazy!?! No way you fucked it up and he likes you this has to be an absolute joke. He can’t be serious
SLIPPED AWAY⠀───⠀HUH YUNJIN.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
TAGS : REQUESTED, fluff, angst, yunjin is confused w her feelings, yunjin is too late, reader is part of le sserafim, 02 liner reader.
PAIRINGS : yunjin x fem reader, kazuha x fem reader.
REQ BY ANON : yunjin losing yn to another le sserafim member
NOTES : sorry it took so long anon, pls forgive me i was occupied w exams + writer block got me 💔 also this is kinda shitty tho, i'm so sorry in advance
Tumblr media
it was another day of intense rehearsals for the girls. yunjin couldn't help but steal glances at le sserafim's main dancer, y/n as they performed practice together at the practice room. yunjin's heart skipped a beat at the sight of y/n's radiant smile every time.
the latter has no idea why her heart did that every time she glanced at the younger — or is it because she has feelings with her?
"no, it can't be." yunjin whispers. "what can't be?" a voice appears. yunjin broke out of her thoughts and searched for the source of the voice and she found y/n who's staring at her with a curious look. "huh?"
"-yunjin" y/n continues with a giggle following after. "you get it? huh? yunjin!"
and there, it happened again. yunjin's heart skipped a beat hearing the sound of laughter coming from y/n. again yunjin wondered why she felt like this.
"unnie." y/n said softly. "are you okay? is there something on your mind? you keep staring at the distance. you know you can tell me anything right?" the latter continued.
yunjin feels her heart race at the younger affection. "i'm okay y/n. just feeling tired." yunjin said softly. "hmm if you say so." y/n hummed even though she knows the latter is lying. "i'm gonna go to kazuha unnie. tell me if you need anything okay?" yunjin hummed in response.
yunjin watched as y/n strolled towards kazuha and back hugged the latter. yunjin felt her heart dropped at the sight. these past few months, y/n have been annoyingly close towards kazuha. not like it's a problem but for some reason yunjin do not like it — whenever kazuha makes you laugh, the way you cling to kazuha's side and the way you always cuddle with kazuha during movie night.
and there she thought, "do i have feelings towards y/n?" it hit her like a tidal wave, leaving her breathless and confused.
Tumblr media
during a short break, as the girls gathered in the dressing room, yunjin found herself lost in her thoughts. the sound of laughter and chatter faded into the background as her mind replayed their moments together. the way y/n's eyes sparkled when she spoke, the warmth of her touch during group hugs, the way her voice resonated through yunjin's soul during their performances — it all became clear to her.
yunjin's heart raced as she tried to come to terms with her newfound emotions. she knew that confessing her feelings could potentially jeopardize their friendship and the group bonds.
that evening, after rehearsal, yunjin mustered up the courage to seek solace in the comfort of her favorite spot — a secluded bench in a nearby park. the moon hung low in the sky as she sat there, her thoughts consumed by y/n.
"i never expected to feel this way... y/n has become the center of my universe. how did i not realize it before?"
as yunjin pondered her next steps, a voice interrupted her thoughts.
"unnie, there you are. i've been looking all over for you."
yunjin's heart skipped a beat as she turned to see y/n standing before her, concern etched on her face.
"y/n, can i ask you something?"
y/n sat down beside yunjin, her eyes filled with curiosity and genuine care. "of course, unnie. you know you can ask me anything." y/n replied.
taking a deep breath, yunjin gazed into y/n's eyes, her voice trembling but determined. "how do you know if you like someone?"
y/n's eyes widened, a mix of surprise and confusion crossing her face.
"oh well, for me, if i like someone, I can't stop thinking about that person and how i want them to be mine. also my heart will beat so fast whenever i'm with them and spending time with them is something that i'm looking forward to every day."
yunjin nodded. "why do you ask unnie? do you like someone?" with curiosity y/n ask. "yeah, there's someone that i like, a lot." yunjin said while staring at y/n with loving eyes.
"and you, how about you y/n?" yunjin asked. "yeah i do have someone that i like." y/n said with a blush on her cheeks. "ooh, and who is that lucky person?" yunjin teased.
"well, sorry unnie that's a secret!
yunjin laughed at the younger antics but soon replied with a question "do you think i should confess?"
"of course unnie, what if they like you back? wouldn't that be great!" yunjin hummed. "maybe i will, thanks y/n."
"you're welcome unnie." y/n said and gave the older a warm hug. "i'm gonna go back to practice. don't stay here too long unnie!" y/n said to remind yunjin.
Tumblr media
a few days have passed and yunjin still hasn't confessed her feelings towards y/n. the fear of rejection has been consuming her mind. "what if the person that y/n likes is someone else?"
but today is different, today is the day huh yunjin gonna do it.
the rain poured relentlessly as yunjin stood at the doorstep of y/n's house. hybe give the group holidays break after finishing their latest comeback promotion.
yunjin knocked on the door of the house and her voice quivered as she spoke, her words laced with softness. "y/n, i... i need to tell you something. please hear me out."
the door opened and y/n's eyes met yunjin's, filled with a mix of surprise and apprehension. "yunjin unnie? what are you doing here? it's raining? let's go inside first."
yunjin bit her lip, as she sat on the couch. "here." y/n gave the older a towel to wipe the wet rains off her soak body.
"so... unnie, what's the important thing you need to tell me until you need to soak yourself in the rain?" y/n asked.
yunjin can hear her heart pounding in her chest "remember when we had a conversation about confessing my feelings to the person i like? well actually the person i like is—"
"babe?" yunjin whipped her head to the source of the voice and was surprised to see kazuha.
"babe? what do you mean by babe zuha? w..what is going on?"yunjin said while looking back and forth between kazuha and y/n.
"unnie." y/n audibly called. "zuha and i, we are seeing each other."
"i know we should've told you and the others and i swear we're going to do it after our break ends." kazuha continued.
tears welled up in yunjin's eyes as the weight of her unrequited love crashed down upon her. "i..i don't know what to say — but i'm happy for you guys and i'm not going to tell the others, i promise." y/n reached out, their voice filled with appreciation. "unnie, thank you so much."
"now about our conversation earlier—what about the person you like?" y/n ask as kazuha leave to give them some space. "oh, nothing. it just—i found out that she likes someone else and well" yunjin's voice trembled, her pain evident.
y/n's eyes glistened with unshed tears, her voice filled with sadness. "oh unnie." she reached out to hug yunjin and she whispered softly in the latter ear "i'm so sorry unnie, i know it hurts but i promise you will someone's that will love you the same."
yunjin nodded, her voice barely above a whisper. "i know, y/n. i just... i love her so much. if only i can turn back time to confess earlier."
as the rain continued to pour, y/n comfort yunjin as the older sobs on her shoulder in silence, her heart heavy with the weight of her shattered heart. the echoes of what y/n and her could have been lingered in the air, haunting yunjin.
"do you feel better now?" y/n pulled away, her voice filled with concern. yunjin forced a weak smile, tears streaming down her cheeks. "i am, thank you, y/n. I'll try my best to move forward, even if it feels like my heart is breaking."
her heart ached with regret and longing, knowing that she had realized her feelings for y/n far too late. she had finally mustered the courage to confess her love, only to find y/n in the arms of her best friend, kazuha.
with a final glance, yunjin eyes filled with unspoken pain as yunjin parted ways. the rain continued to fall, washing away the remnants of what could have been, leaving behind only the fading echoes of a love that was never meant to be.
Genre: Angst, Romance, Supernatural
W/C: 2.2k
Warnings: Implied Past Trauma, Death, Reincarnation, Emotional Distress, Supernatural Elements
Featuring: Sung Hanbin, Ricky and Kim Gyuvin of ZEROBASEONE
A/N: This is my first time writing something like this. Lmk if I should do more like this. Don’t be afraid to send me some requests, I’ll make sure to try and answer all of them (I’m kinda running out of ideas).
⭑*•̩̩͙⊱••••✩••••̩̩͙⊰•*⭑*•̩̩͙⊱••••✩••••̩̩͙⊰•*⭑*•̩̩͙⊱••••✩••••̩̩͙⊰•*
The sun beats down on your face, causing a warm flush. You giggle, burying your face in the sleeve of your boyfriend, Gyuvin’s, sweater. “It’s too hot,” you whine, feeling the beads of sweat forming on your forehead.
Gyuvin chuckles softly, “You know I can’t help it. This is the only time of the year the sun really decides to come out.”
It’s a typical Saturday afternoon at the park. The air is filled with the sounds of children laughing, dogs barking, and the occasional bird song. You’re walking along the paved path, hand in hand with your boyfriend. Accompanying you two was your and Gyuvin’s best friends; Ricky and Hanbin .
“Let’s go get some ice cream!” Ricky announces, breaking away from Hanbin’s side and bounding towards the ice cream stand. “I’ll pay, come on!”
“You should let us pay for once,” Hanbin teases, following after him.
Gyuvin squeezes your hand, and you feel a pleasant warmth in your chest. “I’ll get you a cone, my love,” he says with a loving grin, dipping his head down to kiss your cheek.
“You’re the best,” you whisper, watching the two boys disappear towards the ice cream stand. “Even though those two are straight, they sometimes act like they’re dating,” you say. Then, you look up at Gyuvin, your smile widening. “You know, I wouldn’t mind a little bit of PDA myself.”
Gyuvin throws his head back and laughs, “Okay, okay, settle down. I’m right here.” He pulls you closer, leaning down to kiss you. You melt into his embrace, feeling a surge of contentment. You are happy, surrounded by friends and loved by a wonderful man. There is nothing more you could ask for.
But as the kiss deepens, a strange feeling washes over you. A feeling of déjà vu, like you have been in this very moment before. The taste of the ice cream, the scent of the flowers in the park, the warmth of Gyuvin’s hand in yours … it all feels ... familiar. You push the feeling away, attributing it to simple nostalgia. After all, you have been coming to this park since you were a child.
Later, as you wander through the park, you spot a group of boys huddled around a picnic blanket. One of them stands out. His laughter rings out like a bell. Tall, dark hair that falls over his forehead, with soft features and a charming smile that seems to light up his whole face. There is something about him that feels … magnetic.
You are drawn to him, almost against your will. You find yourself staring, your heart pounding a little faster.
He catches your eye, and for a fleeting moment, your gazes lock. A strange sense of familiarity washes over you, and you feel a jolt of electricity course through your body. His eyes hold a depth of sadness and curiosity that seems to mirror your own unnameable ache.
Then, as quickly as it started, the moment passes. A wave of dizziness sweeps over you, and you feel a sharp pang of pain in your chest. You stumble back a little, clutching your chest, a strangled gasp escaping your lips.
“Hey, are you okay?” Gyuvin’s voice is laced with concern. He holds you tightly, his face etched with worry.
You shake your head, struggling to catch your breath. “I … I don’t know,” you stammer, feeling a wave of confusion wash over you. “I just … I feel so strange.”
“Maybe you should sit down,” Hanbin suggests, his voice soft and gentle.
You slump onto a nearby bench, your limbs feeling heavy and weak. The dizziness subsides, but the strange sense of familiarity lingers. It is like a dream you can’t quite grasp, a memory just out of reach.
You focus on Gyuvin’s voice, his warm touch, the familiar comfort of your friends. It grounds you, pulls you back to the present. The strange feeling fades, replaced by a sense of unease that you can’t explain.
The rest of the afternoon passes in a blur. You feel a constant tug of unease, a faint echo of a forgotten dream that refuses to leave you. The feeling stays with you long after you say goodnight to Gyuvin and drift off to sleep.
The next morning, you wake up with a throbbing headache and a strange feeling of disorientation. You can’t shake the nagging sense of something missing, something crucial that you can’t quite grasp.
The feeling stays with you throughout the day, like a shadow lurking at the edge of your consciousness. It intensifies as the sun begins to set, casting long shadows across your room.
You close your eyes, trying to focus on the familiar, the comforting rhythm of your heartbeat, the gentle rise and fall of your chest. But it is useless. The strange feeling only intensifies, swirling around you like a dizzying mist.
Suddenly, a wave of images floods your mind. A playground, filled with the laughter of children. You were wearing a high school uniform. There was someone else with you. A boy with sparkling eyes and a dimple in his cheek and the same high school uniform, his hand in yours, swinging you higher and higher. A promise ring, shining silver on both of your fingers, a symbol of your unwavering love.
The images fade as quickly as they come, replaced by a sharp pain in your chest, a searing emptiness that seems to consume you. You gasp, tears welling up in your eyes, the echo of a forgotten sorrow echoing in your soul.
You try to hold onto the images, to grasp the feeling of his hand in yours, the warmth of his love, but they slip through your fingers like grains of sand. You are left with only a nagging ache, a hollowness that seems to be etched into your very being.
When you finally open your eyes, you find yourself sitting on the edge of your bed, your body trembling. You feel exhausted, drained, as if you had been running a marathon in your sleep.
“What happened?” you whisper, your voice hoarse. You can’t explain the strange feeling, the sense of loss that has gripped you, the fragments of a forgotten memory that haunt your thoughts.
You try to push it away, to focus on the present, the familiar routines of your life. But the feeling lingers, a persistent ache that threatens to consume you.
Days turn into weeks, and the strange feeling never went away. It is a constant companion, a nagging reminder of something lost, something you desperately want to remember.
One day, while walking through the park with Gyuvin, you stumble again. You feel a wave of dizziness, the same pang of pain in your chest, and a rush of images that both captivate and frighten you.
You see a car, sleek and black, hurtling towards a bend. You feel the terror, the impact, the searing pain. Then, an endless darkness, a profound stillness.
It is like a movie playing in your head, but you know it is more than that. It feels like a memory, a memory both vivid and terrifying.
You gasp, clutching at your chest, your eyes wide with fear, the memories swirling around you like a whirlwind. You can’t breathe, can’t speak, can’t even think.
Gyuvin’s worried voice breaks through the fog, “Are you okay? What is it?”
But you can’t answer. You can only stare at the ground, the images replaying in your mind, the fear, the pain, the emptiness.
“Are you okay?” Gyuvin’s repeated, his voice desperate and concerned, reaches you through the haze. He holds you tightly, a comforting presence in the midst of the storm that rages within you.
Gradually, the images fade, replaced by a profound sense of exhaustion and sadness. Gyuvin keeps you close, his warmth a soothing balm to the raw emotions that pulse within you.
“It’s okay,” he murmurs softly, “You’re okay now.”
“I don’t know what’s happening, but I feel … lost,” you whisper, your voice trembling. “I feel like I’m forgetting something important.”
“It’s just stress,” Gyuvin says reassuringly, stroking your hair. He knows you are struggling, knows the darkness that has gripped you in the past, but he has no idea the full extent of the torment you face.
You cling to Gyuvin’s warmth, seeking solace in his embrace. The memories, the pain, the emptiness, everything is too much to comprehend. But you can't shake the feeling that something is missing, that there is a piece of the puzzle that you can't quite grasp.
Later, as you lay in bed, the images come back, clearer than ever. The playground, the boy with the dimple, the promise ring, the car, the crash, the darkness. And then, a face, a face you know, a face that feels like a part of you, a face you yearn to remember.
The boy’s face fills your vision, his eyes mirroring your own, a familiar warmth radiating from him. You feel a surge of longing, an ache that seems to travel through your veins.
His voice, soft and gentle, fills your ears. “Only if you say yes,” he whispers, his eyes holding a depth of love that you have tasted before, a love that feels so familiar.
Then, as quickly as it starts, the vision vanishes. You are left with a hollow ache in your heart, a longing so deep that it feels like a physical pain.
Who is he? What does he mean?
You don’t know the answers, but you know one thing for certain. You need to remember, to grasp the fragments of a forgotten memory, to find the boy with the promise ring, the boy who whispered, “Only if you say yes.”
The rest of the night is a blur of dreams, nightmares, and the persistent ache in your heart. As the sun rises, you feel a new sense of urgency, a determination to unlock the secrets of your past, to find the boy who has become a part of you, a boy who has stolen your heart, a boy who has promised to love you forever.
But as you step out of your apartment, into the bright sunshine, the feeling of déjà vu that has haunted you for weeks is gone. Your memories of the park, the boy with the dimple, the car crash, all of it, is gone.
What is real? What is a dream? You don't know. You only know that you feel lost, alone, and desperately searching for something you can't remember.
Later that day, you wander through the park, the familiar path leading you to the ice cream stand. You buy a cone, the sweet taste bringing a fleeting smile to your lips.
As you sit on the bench, enjoying the cool treat, you see him once again.
He is walking with a group of friends, laughing, his smile bright and carefree. He has the same soft features, the same dimple in his cheek, the same gentle eyes that have haunted your dreams. His laughter is the same, the familiar sound of joyous camaraderie that you have heard every night. But it is the way he looks, the way his eyes crinkle at the corners when he smiles, the way his hair falls over his forehead, that sends a surge of emotions through you.
A wave of recognition washes over you, but it is fleeting, like a shadow disappearing into the sunlight.
His eyes meet yours for a brief moment, and you feel a rush of warmth, a glimmer of something familiar. Your breath catches in your throat. You feel a sudden, inexplicable urge to run to him, to tell him that you know him, that you love him, that you have been searching for him for what feels like an eternity. There is an intense connection, a pull that seems to transcend time and space. Those eyes, they hold a familiarity that sends a jolt through your entire being. His gaze is intense, piercing, but also delicate and loving, as if he recognizes you from a different lifetime.
But then, the wave of recognition recedes, leaving you with a sense of confusion and emptiness. You don't know him. You don't remember him.
He smiles at you, a warm, genuine smile, and your heart aches.
You gave him a small smile back. You can't explain it, but you know that you have to see him again, to find out who he is, to understand the strange connection that you feel to him.
As you walk away, you feel a strange, almost desperate longing, a feeling like a piece of you is missing. You know that you have to find him again, to uncover the mystery of the boy with the dimple, to find out what he meant when he whispered, “Only if you say yes.”
Jaune meets... an "Assassin!" (Blake Belladonna)
White Fang headquarters
Sienna: *Angry* They arrested our supplier!
Fang Member: *Scared* Y-Yes ma'am.
Sienna: How?!
Fang Member: L-It seems that he was caught by a huntsman named Jaune Arc.
Sienna: Who the fuck is that?!
Fang Member: J-Just some regular guy, I think.
Sienna: Good lord... Blake!
Blake: *appears out of nowhere* Yes ma'am.
Sienna: I want you to send a team to free Roman and his partner from jail.
Blake: Understood. *Walks away*
Sienna: Wait!
Blake: Hm?
Sienna: I also want you to kill that Jaune Arc guy. Let him be an example to anyone who tries to get in our way.
Blake: But isn't that to much?
Sienna: Are you questioning my orders?
Blake: No ma'am.
Sienna: Excelente, now you can leave.
Blake: *Disappears out of nowhere*
Sienna: *Smiling* Enjoy your last moments Jaune Arc. Your head will be mine.
A couple of days later.
Jaune walks through the park with a nutella crepe with banana. She sits on a bench and starts to eat it.
Blake: *In a bush* (So this is the Jaune Arc that caught Roman, huh. He doesn't look like much.)
Blake takes her katana, and slowly pulls it out.
Blake: (He has a lot of openings. This will be easy.)
Blake takes a deep breath, but just as she was about to jump out of the bushes for her attack, she is interrupted.
Jaune: Thought you could sneak up on me, huh?
Blake: *Worry* (W-What? He knows Im'm here?)
Jaune: A lost stray cat.
Blake: *Panic* (He knows I'm here! Shit, I have to run away!)
But before running away, she is stopped once more
Jaune: I know what you came for. But unfortunately it is impossible. But it's not too late for you yet. I can help you find a good place. A place where you can have a real family and leave this dangerous life of yours. Doesn't sound bad at all, right?
Blake: *Silence*
Jaune: Just come to me and I will help you.
Blake eventually runs away, leaving Jaune behind.
Blake: *Confuse* What a weird guy. But maybe....
Back with Jaune.
Cat: *Pulling Juane's pants* Meow
Jaune: I already told you that you can't eat this.
Cat: Meow~
Jaune: Aww, I can't be mad at you. Let's find you a family. *He lifts him up* I heard that Mr. Guzman is somewhat lonely. Maybe you can keep him company, what do you think?
Cat: Meow!
Jaune: That's the spirit.
Later that day at night
Jaune walks back to the Inn where he and his friends are staying. Turning the corner he finds a black haired girl inside a box that he says "Adopt me".
Jaune: (Oh no. How many strange people live in this town? Maybe if I ignore her she won't bother me.)
Jaune walks without seeing her, but the girl grabs his hand.
Jaune: (Shit!) *Looks at her* Y-Yes?
Blake: My name is Blake, and I am here to serve you, master. *Bow her head*
Jaune: *Confuse* What?
THERE’S A REASON no one takes a chance on the underdog. “She’s not fast enough, she’s not strong enough, she’ll get hurt.” But they don’t know Riley Dell. No one knew Riley Dell; of her capabilities, her strengths, her weaknesses.
But this year, she was going to make a name of herself—no matter what, or who, stood in her way.
Tumblr media
SECT. I: TRAINING CAMP.
Media day was a living hell. The interviews consisted of the same tasteless questions: “How do you feel being the first female player in the NHL?” and “How are you going to measure up to the physicality of the other players in the league?” While everyone else was getting questions about their actual gameplay; how they’ll navigate their weaknesses and hone in on their strengths, Riley was getting compared to every single player imaginable.
And the pictures and videos weren’t any better. The photographers suggested that she layed off on the gloves and stick and instead held makeup—fucking makeup. Why the the fuck would she be holding a mascara wand on the ice? The entire day felt pointless. Not a single person took her seriously, and if she called them out, they would accuse her of complaining. She already got the “privilege” of being drafted, and now she wants to complain? Doesn’t look too great.
The day after, everyone hit the ice for actual training. Finally, a time where she could prove that she deserved to be there; that she earned her spot; that Riley Dell was a force to be reckoned with.
The training camp roster was split into three groups: A, B, and C. Throughout the weekend, the groups were to scrimmage, playing each team once. Group A was the one to keep your eye on. The goaltenders consisted of Tyler Brennan and Vitek Vanecek; defenseman being Brendan Smith, Colin Miller, Luke Hughes, Cal Foote, Michael Vukojevic, Kevin Bahl, and Joe Gambardella; and forwards being Tyce Thompson, Michael McLeod, Curtis Lazar, Max Willman, Jesper Bratt, Tyler Toffoli, Flip Engras, Tomas Nosek, Jack Hughes, and Riley Dell.
“Lindy fucking hates us,” Jack groaned upon seeing Riley tying her laces on the bench as groups A and B skated around the practice facility, getting ready to battle in their first scrimmage of the training camp. “That’s why he gave us Riley, right? To get back at us for not winning in the playoffs.”
Luke skated around his older brother, watching as Jack eyes Riley. “I don’t know why you hate her so much. She hasn’t even stepped foot on the ice yet, Jacky.”
“It’s more than the ice, Luke,” Jack turned to the younger boy, annoyance laced in his voice. “Once she joins the team, the entire dynamic will be off. What will happen to the locker room, Luke, or what will happen when we celebrate our wins? Is she gonna come to the bars with us? It’s stupid, Luke.”
“It’s one girl, Jack. The locker room will be fine, and what’s wrong with her coming to the bars? If anything’s stupid, it’s you, man,” Luke scoffed. “Now come on, being an asshole isn’t gonna win us this game,” Luke said, skating towards the rest of the team.
Once Riley’s laces were tired, she jetted off towards the ice, landing in front of their star player. “Hi, I’m Riley. You must be Jack,” she smiled softly, hand out for him to shake, but when he never stuck out his, she retracted it quickly. “So, I heard you had a career-high last season. Sounds like a dream.”
“Yeah,” Jack grumbled, skating beside her.
“Um,” Riley bit her cheek, thinking up things to say. Jack wasn’t much of a conversationalist, she thought. “Are you more of a toe-to-heel guy or heel-to-toe?”
Tired of hearing her voice, Jack spun around, stopping Riley in her tracks. “I don’t care that you got drafted to this team. Fitzgerald, and Lindy, and everyone else in this organization are going to realize they made a mistake and send you back to wherever you came from.” Venom pricked his tongue as the words smacked Riley one by one. Even the team didn’t like her. Driving his shoulder into hers, Jack watched her face turn from shock to complete anger. “Hope you didn’t unpack your bags, rookie.”
Swallowing the lump in her throat, Riley stood there, unmoveable. She wasn’t going to cry. She wasn’t going to give him the satisfaction, prove everything he assumed about her. She wasn’t going to let him win. Closing her eyes, she breathed in, out, and thought about every way she could make Jack Hughes’ life a living hell. Dramatic, but who knew there were real devils on this team?
Tumblr media
“Nice job out there, Dell,” Nico smiled at Riley, nudging her shoulder as they bounded into the locker room. “Don’t worry about Hughesy, he’s a softie once you get to know him.”
“If he ever gives me the chance to know him,” Riley sighed.
The game was a total train-wreck. I mean, their team won, but Riley was practically fighting for her life out there. Every single time she made it on the ice, Jack smashed her into the boards, or stole the puck from her, or never gave her the puck at all. His hate was evident and the entire team, not just team A but the entire Devils organization, could see it. How were they supposed to play an entire season together, when they could barely play one scrimmage?
“Don’t let that asshole win, Ri,” Luke stumbled into the conversation, placing his gear down by hers. Luke’s been playing with Riley for the past two years at the University of Michigan, and while they lost against Quinnipiac at the Frozen Four semifinals and Luke immediately left for the Devils after, their bond never deterred. Coming to the Devils felt like coming home (if home consisted of an egotistical jerk and a sexist media team).
Shaking her head, Riley held her practice jersey in her hands. “Promise me, that’ll be the last thing I do.”
I’ve been having more and more vivid dream recently- so of course I’ve decided to write them down- here’s one
Warning: nsft content, wet dreams, in dream; oral, cumming in mouth semi-public sex, penetrative sex, floor sex, cis top, trans bottom
Oct. 30th
I’m sleeping, taking an afternoon nap when I’m woken up by the sudden blaring of the fire alarm. Both in real like and in my dream, the speaker for it is right above my bed, so I put on my slippers and rush outside to community garden in my building- which was the designated assembly point whenever the fire alarm goes off.
A bit in the distance, there’s the rec room. It’s a massive, empty building, disattached from the rest of the apartments, management rarely let anybody use it and they never hosted community events, so the room was left abandoned.
The sun begins to go down. The fire alarm is still going off, yet there’s no smoke and the fire department is no where in sight. The alarm quickly begins to give me a headache so I walk away from the main group off to the edge of the garden. It’s not enough, the sound is still driving me insane.
Then, I see someone, in a long red robe and a dark mouthless mask with pitch black eyes standing near the unusually open rec room door.
For some reason, I go to him. We don’t speak to each other- I stand in front of him for a long moment- I don’t remember what I was thinking or why, maybe the noise and crowded garden had finally got to me, or maybe the silent promise of sex made me follow him when he walked thought the open door- regardless of the reason I let him lead me inside.
He was polite- dressed formally under the cloak- black dress pants and a deep red shirt- less of a button up and more of a poet shirt, holding my hand as we walked, then taking a seat on one of the few items in the room, a bench that was attached to the floor- old, metal, stiff, and right in front of a large widow. The moon was full and bathed him is a pale blue glow.
I kneeled without question- the part that felt so real was when he finally undoing his belt. I flinched back when the buckle swung to closely to his face, I remember him apologizing, but never speaking. He fumbled a bit, I thought it was cute as he forced his pants and (white) underwear down to his ankles- he wore uncharacteristically modern shoes, beat up fully black sneaker- I don’t remember the brand.
His cock was so memorably. He was clean shaven, from his stomach to the base to the tip he was completely evenly colored, pale but not sickly, maybe a bit blue in the moonlight. Uncut, forskin coving the tip, maybe 4-5 inches long, wider but not absurdly so, it curved the the left a bit, and when it twitched I noticed a vein running down the side closer to the bottom. I think I was in love with it, at least in the dream. It was just so tempting and so pretty and so appetizing.
He was breathing heavy already, he was nervous and suddenly so was I.
I made a joke I can’t remember now before licking the tip- he tasted clean. Just water and skin- by the second lick there was something acidic and salty- I remember that too, the taste was so clear in the dream. I took the tip in my mouth, remembering to not put my teeth around it. And he just moaned so unashamed, slightly muffled by the mask, he threw his head back and rested it against the window behind him.
I took him deeper over the course of a few minutes. The time passage felt real, him fighting to not buck into my mouth and make me gag felt real, and his cock nudging the back of my throat felt so, so real.
It was easier than I thought it would be, the skin on his cock was textured and I liked the way it felt on my tongue. I sucked and licked my way up and down his cock, pulling off slow and pushing back down even slower as I got used to the motion.
He was turning to putty, his hands in my hair (which was styled in the old way, I hadn’t realized how much I missed it), grasping slow and releasing quick once he realized what he was doing.
He moans and whines and doesn’t try and hide what he’s doing from those outside.
Then he cums straight down my throat- I sputter on his cock for a second before pulling off.
The dream stops being so detailed, he takes a breather, my face is covered in spit and cum and my hair is a mess. After a moment he get on the floor with me, cock still out as he gently helps me strip.
His large cloak covers both of us as he fucks me on the rec room floor. He works magic with his cock and his fingers and I’m cumming around him in no time. I feel his praise as he cradles me. He helps me dress, but does nothing about the mess that is my face and hair. I kiss his cock again before he dresses, it’s covered in my wetness, spit, and his cum as he shoves his wet cock back into his pants. Another detail I remember is his being rough with himself, yet he tries his best to be gentle with me. (We’re not going to talk about what that means about me irl)
He takes my hand and pulls me closer, resting his forehead against mine. I feel I’ll see him again, he promises it. He let my hand go as we exit and mingle back into the crowd.
It’s late now, people are tired- and taking in my appearance with either blatant disgust or an air of smugness as though they had discovered something I didn’t want them to. Some, however, were proud.
The fire alarm stopped. Firefighters were only there for a second, then we went back into our apartments. I locked the door, washed my face, got in bed, and went back to sleep.
And then I woke up, my boxers soaking wet. Feeling for the first 30 seconds after I woke up that I really just had sex in the rec room before realizing it was a dream.
(Reposted from a different blog cuz I got myself shadowbanned like a dumbass lol)
while im at it, how about some ashley n matt!! ur choice on if thats platonic or more :0 i just think the world needs more of these guys together ;w;
She felt a little bit like her mom's ancient desktop PC for a moment after it happened - buffering, buffering, still buffering. And that was an exaggeration, obviously, but not by much; the weight, the warmth, the sudden waft of leftover cologne, it scrambled her thoughts! Shook them up, at the very least.
That was the only excuse she could come up with for the blank look she gave him, anyway. Ashley had to figure it was a heck of a look, too, because even as she was still struggling to process the fact she was wearing his letterman jacket, Matt was laughing.
"Aw man, didn't mean to make you jump like that, Ash! Sorry, you just looked cold - you're all hunched over and stuff." With a little huff, he dropped himself back onto the bench beside her, resuming the pen-tapping he'd been doing before getting up to throw their lunch wrappers out. He bent over the project outline spread between them, frowned as he started reading again, and...that was that.
So. Great.
This was a her thing, then.
Ashley tried to go back to the project. She tried to go back to her notes. She tried to go back to thinking, end of sentence, but it just wasn't happening. There was something about the idea of them sitting there like that out in the open courtyard where anyone could see, side-to-side and leaning forward as if conspiring, their backpacks set on the bench opposite to be out of the way, the content of their conversation kept low under the distant sound of the baseball team squeezing in some last-minute practice. It was something she knew she could've named, had she not been so frazzled, something that made her face burn and her chest go tight, something...something that took on a decidedly different sort of flavor now that his jacket was draped over her shoulders.
"I, um, I'm fine, actually. Thanks, but, um, here, you should take this back." It was only half a lie - the flush in her ears and cheeks and neck hadn't taken long to spread everywhere else, turning the chilly fall afternoon into something stifling - but that half was the trickier part, making her tongue heavy and slow and stupid. Which Matt noticed.
How could he not?
"You...sure?" he asked slowly, watching her shrug the jacket off with what might've been surprise, but just as easily could've been amusement. "Believe it or not, I do actually wash that thing sometimes, so if you're worried it's just some kind of glorified sweat rag, I prooomise you it's not."
"No, it's - " She cringed at the sound of her own voice, shrill with social anxiety, tight with...well, something else altogether. " - I appreciate it, Matt, I mean, seriously, I do, but...I...I can't. So. Thanks. It was super nice of you, but...I'm fine. Really. Thanks." After a frankly ridiculous amount of time, considering all she had to do was slide the freaking thing off, she held it back out to him, doing her best to seem nonchalant.
To literally no one's surprise, it didn't exactly work.
"You...can't," Matt repeated, setting his pen down on the table before his arm followed suit, his posture loose and comfortable and cool as a cucumber as he set his head on his hand to get a better look at her.
"That's not what I meant to say. I'm just...this is due by the end of the week, you know."
"Yeah, I know, I'm just really, really curious now."
Oh God, she'd had nightmares like this. "Matt," she sighed, feeling another surge of blood shoot to the tips of her ears. "Would you take this seriously? This is the last group project of the semester, and I'd really - "
"Are you cold?"
"I...that's not important!"
"I think it is."
That got her. Without meaning to, Ashley turned, unsure whether she meant for her glare to be exasperated or pleading. Probably the latter. It usually was.
Matt, as always, met her halfway. He didn't shy away from the look, didn't roll his eyes or snicker like Josh and Chris did when playfully antagonizing her. He just...waited. The jacket hung between them, heavy in her hand; the question hung there too, unspoken but just as weighty.
Because she knew he wouldn't make fun of her, that he wouldn't tease her or try to deflect by cracking a seriously unfunny joke, she sighed, averting her eyes. "There's still a lot of people hanging around here."
"I guess."
"A lot of people, Matt," she said, taking great pains to really emphasize the point, "who...you know...might see me wearing this."
His eyebrows dropped, but only slightly. "Okay?" he replied, dragging the word out to goad her along, and oh, come on! He was really going to make her spell it out?
"People...assume things, all right? They...talk. I really appreciate the gesture, it was totally sweet of you and everything, but...people might think we're...I don't know..." She shrugged, shook her head, shrugged again, and all the while, the mean little voice in the back of her head tittered with locker room laughter and study hall whispers - harbingers of the rumors she could already hear rolling fresh and hot off the gossip mill. "They might think we're dating, or...or something."
He was quiet for a second. A second she spent waiting for the jacket to be taken from her, plucked aside without further comment.
Again, it didn't exactly work out that way.
"Would that be so bad?" He did laugh then, albeit softly, lifting his shoulders in a shrug of his own when she whipped her head around to stare. "I'm asking! You don't think there are worse things for people to say? I mean, don't get me wrong, Ash, I know after that pass I fumbled at our last away game I'm kind of embarrassing to be seen around, but - "
It was out of her mouth before she could bite down on it: "I'm the embarrassing one." And then it was just there, fogging the air in glimmery motes of frost as if to prove she'd said it, to drive home how, whoops, sorry, there'd be no taking it back now. She bit her lip a second too late, worrying it between her teeth until it ached, and...and then Matt nudged her with his shoulder, pushing the jacket back towards her.
"No, you're not," he said, and his voice was so firm, so self-assured, that she almost believed him. "But you are the cold one. So...c'mon. If people want to think I'm your boyfriend, at least let them think I'm a good one, right?"
Snowfall Sweethearts ☕❄️ | In a Hundred Years
Warnings: 18+, None (?)
It takes Santa a while to realize Bernard and Charity are Dating
Song: My Forever by Kurt Hugo Schneider
Dividers by @stcvcngrant
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Oh, Bernard!"
He spins around when he hears her call for him.
"Hey, Charity," Santa greets, "Is something wrong?"
"No sir," She smiles brightly at him and then Bernard, "I just need to borrow him for a moment, that won't be a problem, will it?"
"Oh, no! Not at all. Actually, since we're at the kitchen, I thought I'd take a small break myself and get some cocoa."
"Sounds like a plan, sir."
He watches her take Bernard's hand and lead him to a far corner of the kitchen.
He joins Mrs. Claus, who just so happens to be getting herself a coffee over at the machine.
"Did something happen?" The head elf asks, chewing anxiously on his bottom lip.
"What? No!" She squeezes his hands, "I just wanted to make sure you were still coming over tonight."
He smiles slightly, head tilting, "Of course I am. Why wouldn't I be?"
"I dunno," It's her turn to be a little anxious, "It's just that you kind of... stood me up last time so I wanted to check in."
"I know," he sighs, "I didn't mean to-"
"I know you didn't, I just wanted to be sure."
"I'll be there," He cups her cheek, "I promise."
Santa leans back against the counter next to his wife, "Good afternoon, Mrs. Claus, fancy seeing you here."
She hums in acknowledgment, watching the two elves over her coffee.
"What're you watching-" He chokes on his cocoa when he follows her eyeline and sees Bernard gently kiss Charity. Carol giggles as he sputters, "W-what? How long has that been going on?"
"Since last Christmas," She says, grabbing a napkin and helping him clean the chocolate from his beard, "You really didn't know?"
"No! How would I know about that?"
"Oh, Scott," She smiles, her hand affectionately resting on his chest, "You seriously don't see the way they look at each other?"
"No. What?" He looks back over at his head elf and notices, for the first time, the adoration in his eyes as he gazes at Charity, "Isn't... Isn't that how he always looks? I-I mean maybe."
They both quickly turn their attention to their drinks when Bernard starts walking towards them, cheeks rosier than when they entered the kitchen.
Tumblr media
"Hey, Bernard, can I talk to you for a minute?" Santa calls when he sees him walk past the office. The elf stops for a moment and looks at the clock across the room, it's late and he's ready to go, "Just real quick, before you leave."
"Something I can help you with, sir?" There's an annoyed edge to his voice, a tone Santa is all too familiar with. It's late. Later than Bernard would prefer to be leaving, since he's already running behind and will probably be late for his ice skating date with Charity.
Santa leans back in his chair, hands clasped, looking at him over his desk as he contemplates what he's going to say.
"This thing with Charity..."
That catches Bernard off guard and his anxious bouncing stops.
"Charity, sir?" He knows they've been more brazen with their relationship, but he's tried not to show favoritism, at least not too much.
"I don't have to worry about the two sneaking off to supply closets during work, do I?" He asks, and the elf's eyes go wide, "Or if this goes sideways, am I going to have to worry about blow-up fights in the workshop?"
"No!" He snaps, before taking a moment to compose himself, "N-no, sir. On both fronts."
"You're sure? There's not some HR type thing you have to fill out or anything?"
"Positive."
Santa thinks for a moment then nods, "Okay then."
"I can..." He motions over his shoulder at the door.
"Yep, that's it," Santa says, "Go do whatever it is you do with Charity."
Tumblr media
When he finally gets to the frozen pond, there are at least two dozen other elves there skating.
He tries to spot Charity in the moving group, but he's a half hour late and hopes she's still here.
He sighs in relief when he finds her. She's sitting alone on a bench waiting for him, cradling a warm drink between her hands.
Her face lights up when she sees him walking towards her and his ears heat up.
"Sorry I'm late," He says, sitting next to her.
"It's okay," She smiles, leaning over to kiss him. He sighs against her lips, fingers warm on her cheek, "I wasn't waiting long."
She holds up his skates and he smiles, taking them from her, "Thanks, Shiver."
She pushes herself up onto her feet and holds out her hands for him once he has them laced up.
He lets her pull him up, leaning forward to kiss her forehead.
They make their way out onto the ice.
She slips a little and grabs onto his arm to steady herself chuckling nervously.
"You okay?" He asks.
"Yeah, it's just been a while."
Her eyes go wide and she lets out a yelp when her feet come out from under her and she falls on her ass.
"Charity are you-"
She cuts him off with a cackle.
"I used to be good at this," She laughs, throwing her head back.
"Did you hurt yourself?" He chuckles, helping her up.
"I'm fine," She's still giggling when she kisses him, "I just gotta get the hang of it again."
He offers her his arm and she takes it, keeping close to him as they skate around.
It isn't long before she finds her legs and she pulls away, spinning around to face him and taking his hands in hers.
"That's better."
He grins at her, hand moving to her waist. He pulls her into a turn, his smile mirroring hers.
The rink may be somewhat crowded, but to them, the ice is their's alone.
"Santa had a talk with me today," He says softly, "About us."
Her brow furrows, "What about us?"
"He's worried we're gonna sneak off during work to..." His cheeks go pink, "Y'know."
She chuckles and her hands slide down his arms to take his hands, pulling back to spin them, "As if you'd stand for any hanky-panky on the clock!"
He laughs with her, tugging her back into his arms, "Anything's possible with you, Shiver."
"Talk like that'll land you on the naughty list, Bernard!" She gasps in mock shock, "You should know that as head elf!"
"Seems you've been a terrible influence."
"I have no idea what you're talking about," She snickers, pulling him in for a kiss.
"I love you," He sighs against her lips before taking her face in her hands to kiss her harder.
They glide to a stop in the middle of the rink, the other elves parting around them as they go by.
His nose bumps hers when he pulls away and he grins at her fogged up glasses.
"Here, let me."
PINK !
— hanamaki dyes his hair pink when he finds out that it's your favorite color
Tumblr media
includes! hanamaki takahiro x fem! reader
warnings! profanity, the seijoh 4 are in their 1st year in this
note! i'm not too sure whether or not pink-brown is hanamaki's natural hair color but i came up with this little delusion and i invite all of u to join me in it 😘😻❤ and i definitely did not write this because i am obsessed w/ pink hehehehehe 🥰
Tumblr media
friday
hanamaki hates the color pink. and the whole volleyball club was well aware of this, especially his fellow 1st years. he made sure to remind them how much he hates that color whenever they told him that he would look good in it.
"makki! are you still considering to dye your hair? there's a new salon that just opened up recently! we should check it out, i read great reviews about it online!" now that oikawa brought it up he remembers that he was yet to pick a color to dye his hair into
"yeah, i am. though i'm not sure about the color yet" he explains, "and no i will not dye it pink" he adds upon seeing the similar expression the other three had
"i don't blame you for not wanting to dye it pink" iwaizumi starts, "i heard pink is a hard color to look good in"
oikawa raised his brow, "and where did you hear that? knowing you, you're not the type to look such things up"
"y/n told me about it"
of course, they were also well aware of hanamaki's huge crush on iwaizumi's classmate, whom he met on their first day of volleyball practice when she gave iwaizumi his water bottle that he left in their classroom
"nice try, not gonna work this time" hanamaki flashed him a sarcastic smile and continued munching on his onigiri
"i'm not kidding though. that woman is obsessed with pink even i'm starting to think her blood is pink and glittery"
Tumblr media
monday
hanamaki makes his way to the gym, still sleepy and not fully awake for morning practice. he hears a group of people, obviously the rest of seijoh, talking so loudly inside. he yawns, "why do they sound more energetic than usual?"
and it was like he was showered with ice cold water when he opened the doors. because what the fuck were you doing there? and happily chatting with the coaches?!
"YOU DYED YOUR HAIR WITHOUT ME?!" oikawa's loud and annoying— as described by iwaizumi, matsukawa and hanamaki— voice echos through the gym
matsukawa and iwaizumi bursts out laughing, "and don't you hate pink?" oikawa, who was now pouting, adds
at his words, you let out an offensive gasp, "hanamaki hates pink?!" now you were starting to walk towards him along with the other first years, "but why?! pink suits you! i told iwa-chan many times that pink would suit you!"
hanamaki doesn't know where all his nervousness went but he was thankful that it decided to leave, "ah...i don't really hate it, i think it's alright"
the trio looks at him with a raised brow, "you told us last friday that you hate—" hanamaki coughs to interrupt matsukawa's sentence and as if luck was on his side, coach mizoguchi called for you to come over the benches
"what's she doing here?" he asked as he watched your retreating figure, "she applied for as our manager" iwaizumi explains while still giving hanamaki a judging look
"could you guys quit looking at me like that?!"
hanamaki hates the color pink
"we've been convincing you to dye your hair pink for more than a month and one mention of y/n-chan loving pink was all it took for you to actually dye it pink?!" oikawa's complains fell on deaf ears as they walked to their teammates
hanamaki hates the color pink. but if he had to dump pink paint all over himself for you to notice him, he would gladly do so
“Oh God,” Shane puts his head in his hands, “That’s so bad. Shockingly, shockingly bad.”
A wobbly rendition of Total Eclipse of the Heart floats through the open doors of the local pub, invading the night with flat, tuneless melody. From our picnic bench on the docks, every karaoke performance has been crystal clear. We hear every note, every fumbled lyric and pre-emptive, spirited launch into the chorus even though there’s an entire verse to go. Jen swore that we’d have more fun as a group if we went in and watched it, complete with the overdramatic physical performances, but Shane objected. He says he has a hard time coping with embarrassing things. He can’t watch other people fail miserably, and while I’m the opposite and thrive on it, I still prefer our seats at this comfortable distance, right by the barrier to the sea where the fishing boats bob serenely on black water. Being away from the karaoke minimises the chances that Liam will force me to include myself. I can’t sing. I am completely tone deaf, so it’s better that I steer clear of that microphone and all others.
Tumblr media
I didn’t want to come out tonight anyway, I’ve been pretty tied up with all my wallowing, but Jen refused to take no for an answer, the same way that she has refused to let me order spirits from the bar. It’s beer for me only until she can trust me to act reasonably again. Not that I’ve made any attempts to contact Michelle since last week's ordeal, not even through email, where sometimes, when I log on to contact various students in Berlin about housing, I see her name there and the last email I ever sent her. It was just study materials, and I should delete them and move on, but I can’t. I’m stuck. it feels too final.
Tumblr media
But the night is clear and the conversations are flowing, and if I don’t think about anything outside of my immediate experience then one could argue that things are going well, that there's no need for me to feel unsettled. What’s not to love about a night by the water with friends? It’s what the summer is for. I should be trying harder to enjoy myself.
Tumblr media
There’s distant chatter as two girls step out of the bar. I recognise them. It’s Kelly and her friend from the tennis court. The blonde one. Shane perks up in recognition and waves. She waves back.
Tumblr media
“Who’s that?” I ask him.
“Claire. My sister’s friend.”
“Right, from school or something?”
“Yeah, from Tullamore.”
Tumblr media
They’re coming over now, at least Claire is while Kelly drags her feet behind and does her best to look disinterested, but if Claire notices her friend's reluctance she doesn’t show it. She’s smiling, a wide, even smile as she hops onto the dock and greets us all with a confident, “Hello everyone!”
Shane runs a hand over the top of his head, “Hi, were you- were ye in doing the karaoke and stuff like that?”
“Yeah, well, I didn’t sing because I’m awful at it, but Kelly did.”
Kelly, hanging back in the shadows, grunts and keeps her arms crossed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Oh, was that you caterwauling Bonnie Tyler just there?” He teases, “Sounding absolutely diabolical?”
“No,” she snips, “I sang something else, Claire, can we just go sit over there or something?”
“Yeah in a minute. You didn’t feel like singing, Shane, no?”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“No,” he laughs self consciously, “I don’t think you’d have liked to have heard that. I’m no singer at all. I’d be brutal.”
“Ah c’mon, I’m sure that’s not true! Sure you're good at everything.” She’s got a very sing-songy, country kind of accent, high and feminine, but what’s most interesting about her voice is the things it seems to do to Shane. Every time she speaks to him his cheeks turn pinker.
“Ah, well, no,” he lets out a goofy laugh and goes back to touching his hair, “I don’t think anybody would have liked to hear me,” He peers around her for a moment and looks back towards the pub, “Where’s Evie?”
Tumblr media
“Oh, she’s with Liam.”
A pause, “Oh right. As in, they’re singing?”
“They were,” Kelly pipes up, “But they went off.”
“Off where?”
“To shift.”
“Evie is shifting Liam?”
“Yeah. Who else would do it?”
Tumblr media
This tickles Joe, “Aw lads! Liam is off with some girl? That’s so funny. What do you think is wrong with her? Blind? Would you say? Or blind and deaf?”
Tumblr media
Kasper laughs once the joke is explained to him, and I make a deliberate point of not joining in, because Jen’s warning eyes are on me like a hawk. I will be nice to Liam this summer. I will.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We hang out with Claire for a while, chatting and pretending we’re not aware of Shane’s blatant crush on her while Kelly sulks on another bench alone, pointedly checking the time on her flip phone and sighing about how they’d better get back to the caravan park soon.
Claire doesn’t notice, and I find it satisfying.
Eventually we break off into our own conversations and let Shane and Claire talk on their own, and I wonder if he’s going to do anything about it this summer, if he’ll ever find the courage. Shane’s always been shy with girls, it’s just how he is. Always reluctant, always hanging in the background waiting until he’s absolutely sure about any mutual feelings to say anything to them. Maybe focussing on him like some sort of project would help to keep my mind off my own stuff. Is that a normal thing to think?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Claire raises a hand and calls to someone behind us. We turn around, and it’s just Liam. Liam, holding hands with a girl, which is interesting because it’s an unusual sight, but not interesting enough to interrupt my conversation with Jen. I look away and continue talking about the things I’ve been googling about Berlin.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“You can’t mow your lawn on Sunday, that’s another thing.” I say, and she scrunches up her face, “You don’t mow the lawn.”
“Yes but if I wanted to, I couldn’t.”
“I’m sure you could, they might just frown upon it.”
“It seems restrictive though, doesn’t it?”
A shrug, “Maybe they respect silence. And in that case you might have a hard time fitting in.”
“I can be silent.”
“You can’t even whisper normally,”
“What? I can. Yes I can.”
Tumblr media
Shane, who is now standing by the end of the table with Claire, Liam and his girl-friend, throws an arm around the brunette’s and interrupts us before I can argue my case and prove to Jen just how well I can whisper.
“Lads, this is Evie by the way. She’s another one of Kelly’s friends from home in Tullamore.”
Tumblr media
We have to do the whole thing of going around the table and introducing ourselves, even though I don’t really have much interest in who this random girl is. “Jude,” I say when we get to me, and Jen gives me a tight smile like I should be making more effort. What else does she want from me? This whole being nice thing is starting to feel akin to a totalitarian regime.
Tumblr media
“Good to meet you,” Evie says with a smile. She’s tense and overly formal.
“Good to meet you too.”
Tumblr media
Claire leaps in excitedly,  “Shane was telling me about the house they’ve all been staying in. It sounds unreal. It’s way up the beach where all those modern mansion places are, they’ve got a big outdoor deck and a fire and everything.”
“Sounds cool,” Evie says, and then Shane explains that it belongs to my parents, that they’ve let us use it for the summer while leaving out all the juicy bits about how they can’t risk being trapped in it together for the summer in case they kill each other, which is why the care of it has fallen to me. All I have to do is make sure that it doesn’t get damaged, that the roof tiles don't fly off in a storm or something. I realise I forgot to clean the puddle off the floor two weeks ago, and remind myself to check if the timber has any marks when we get home.
Tumblr media
Claire goes on, “You were just saying though, Shane, that we could go up and hang out with ye all some time?”
Shane scratches the back of his neck and shuffles about looking awkward. I wonder if he was trying to invite her over alone.
But Jen comes to the rescue. “Ugh, yes please.” She says. “I’m getting sick of hanging out with only boys, so I’d be delighted if the two of you came up to visit.”
Tumblr media
Evie glances at Kelly, forgotten but not gone, still on the bench. “Maybe three of us?”
“If she’ll be seen with us.” Shane calls over his shoulder, and his sister flips her middle finger at him.
Tumblr media
I’m amused. Three of them? Are they forgetting the obvious fourth party? “Four of you, including Liam?” I say.
Tumblr media
“Oh yeah, well, obviously I thought that went without saying,” Evie smiles at him, tucking hair behind her ears and he smiles back. He’s delighted. He feels lucky. He’s got a smudge of her makeup on the shoulder of his t-shirt.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“They’re cute, aren’t they?” Jen murmurs.
“Hm? Oh, yeah. I suppose.” I say. “Haven't really thought about it.”
He gets jealous
Drabble: Bokuto x Reader w/c: 608 warnings: sad lil jealous bokuto :( (before you reassure him<3) a/n: post!timeskip, gender neutral reader
masterlist
Tumblr media
"Does this make it feel worse?" you question.
You're kneeling in front of Atsumu as he sits on the bench, having been pulled from the match. He landed awkwardly after trying to perform a jump set from a difficult angle. One of your hands rests just above his knee to keep his thigh from moving, while the other pulls his calf toward you.
He hisses in pain but tries to hide it. "Uh, maybe just a little."
"Nice try. Let's go do a few stretches and see if it helps."
You'd been an athletic trainer for MSBY long enough to know that most of the team would lie to your face if it meant getting back on the court. Your boyfriend, Bokuto, included.
In this particular instance, however, he'd have been willing to lose a bit of playing time if it meant he could take Atsumu's place. Bokuto can't possibly stay focused, not when his eyes keep trailing over to your figure. He's not really one to be possessive, he knows how much you love him! It's just that you're on your knees, sitting so pretty for Atsumu of all people, and-
His wandering mind makes him late in his approach to the next toss and it results in one of those blocks that can really crush a hitter's spirit. His despair is made worse when he notices you leading Atsumu to the open area behind the bench.
He soon learns that he hadn't known true agony, not until Atsumu is sprawled out on the floor, your body leaning over his, your hand on the back of his thigh pushing his knee to his chest.
Following the stretches, you reevaluate and decide that Atsumu can safely return to the game. It's too late though. Distressed whispers from the sideline catch your attention, something about the 'return of emo Bokuto.'
You look over only to see him moping around the court with sad eyes and sagging shoulders. It's already late in the match and Bokuto never does recover, so you pull him off to the side once it's over.
"Ko, what's the matter?" you ask, concern written all over your face.
"Nothing!" he exclaims. "In fact, I am totally chill. Cool as a cucumber-"
His mouth snaps shut when he sees the way you raise your eyebrows at him, very obviously unconvinced.
"Wanna try that again?"
"So, um, you see," he falters.
What can he even say? You were doing your job and he's not upset with you for it or anything. The rest of his response is mumbled, his eyes looking anywhere but at you. All you can make out is 'Miya' and 'hardly even fell'.
Still, it's enough for you to discern the situation. "You were jealous I was helping Atsumu stretch?"
"Well, it sounds kind of silly when you say it like that," he admits sheepishly.
The pout on his face tugs at your heart and your eyes soften.
"My sweet boy," you coo at him and reach out, letting your fingertips brush against his own. A tinge of pink appears across his features. "I might get paid to help your teammates stretch, but you're the only one who gets to return the favor."
You wink at him, standing on your tiptoes to give him a kiss on the cheek before returning to the rest of the group. He stands there for a moment with wide eyes, his face turning an even darker shade than before.
Nevertheless, it's not long until he's running to catch up, the goofy grin on his face and energetic bounce in his step reassuring you that he's back to his usual self.
Cody x reader Summary: The next time Cody spots you, he’s in a much better mood. Good enough that he decides to brave asking you out. Word Count: 2,5k C/W: none, Boil and Waxer are the ones being little shits this time A/N: finally finished the pt.2 for this fic!! Highly recommend you read the first one first as it is referenced a couple times. P.S may or may not be thinking of a pt.3 👀
Pt.1 Pt.2 Pt.3
The next time Cody spotted you, it was quite a few rotations later. 42 full standard rotations to be exact. Not that he’d been keeping count or anything.
He has sitting in the mess hall of the Resolute, Waxer and Boil playfully bickering on the bench in front of him. He tuned them out, doing a lazy survey of the tables. Everyone seemed to be in a good mood, troopers laughing and joking together through mouthfuls of rations.
It had been another joint mission with the 501st. One that run much smoother than last time. What was supposed to be a good 2 months worth of mission had ended up getting wrapped up in a little under a month, with no need for reinforcements and minimal casualties - which would explain the good moods.
A tiny part of him almost wished he had sustained some sort of injury. Just a small one, enough to warrant him a trip to visit you in the med bay. But he’d quickly squashed down that idea. He didn’t know what was wrong with him, but every time his thoughts strayed to you they were getting more and more idiotic.
He shakes his head, continuing his glance around the room before doing a double take when he reaches the medic table. Talk of the devil.
There you are, sitting next to Kix and smiling that same cheeky smile that had been playing on repeat in his head since he'd last seen you in the med-bay. Kix leans over to whisper something in your ear and Cody watched as you snort, eyes crinkling and nose scrunching up in an irritatingly cute way. Adorable.
A group of troopers walks into his line of vision, blocking you momentarily from his sight and effectively breaking his trance. He blinks a couple times, running a hand through his hair and lowering his gaze to the table in front of him.
Kriff, he needed to get a grip. You were gonna think he was some kind of creep staring at you from across the room like that.
He turns, trying to shift his focus on whatever Boil and Waxer are bickering about. Something about binders? He manages to catch a few sentences before his mind is straying again, eyes shifting to zero in on you before he can help it.
It was like you caught him in some sort of tractor beam, keeping him stuck on you and slowly slowly reeling him in.
You laugh at something Kix says, throwing your head back. Your neck is exposed and his eyes are drawn to it like a moth to a flame. It looks so soft, so delicate. He licks his lips subconsciously. How would it feel if he were to kiss it? suck it? What sounds would you make if he were to just graze his teeth-
" -mander, Commander!" Waxers hand waving in front of his face breaks his trance, shaking his head slightly to clear it.
Fuck, he'd been staring again.
He runs a hand through his head to ground himself, blinking a couple times before looking back up. He’s greeted by the sight of Boil and Waxer’s matching teasing smiles staring straight back at him.
He narrows his eyes at them suspiciously “What’re you two looking at?”
Boil smirks, sharing a look with Waxer who just shrugs, grinning “I think the more important question is who were you looking at Commander?"
Cody scoffs, rolling his eyes, but doesn’t deny it. They try again, Boil speaking up this time.
“So.. Who’s the poor sap you’re trying to kill with that death glare?
“It wasn’t a death glare” Cody grumbles, tilting his head to pointedly face Boil before uttering the next words “Although I can sure think of someone else who might be asking for one right about now.”
Boil seems unphased by the threat though, grinning as Waxer leans forward excitedly
“Aha! So you admit it, you were staring.”
“I wasn’t staring.” Cody grits out, crossing his arms in front of his chest “I was just… observing”
Boil raises an eyebrow, smiling teasingly “Observing?”
“Yeah. Observing.”
Waxer rolls his eyes, realising Cody isn’t going to give in - so he shifts to a different tactic “Okay… Fine, who were you observing so intently then?”
Just as Cody goes to roll his eyes, he faintly hears your laugh again, head tilting against his will until he can just peek around Boil's shoulder to catch a glimpse of your smile. You’re so pretty when you laugh.
Boil and Waxer both follow his gaze, twisting in their seats. Waxer chuckles, looking at Cody over his shoulder “The medic? From the 501st?”
As if you can hear them, Cody he watches in horror as you turn, startling slightly upon finding three troopers watching you from across the tables. You recover quickly though, eyes lighting up when you recognise the grumpy commander among them, raising your hand to send him a wave.
He cringes, raising his hand in an awkward half-wave, half-salute like he can’t quite decide which one is more appropriate.
You giggle, leaning over to excuse yourself from Kix before sliding out of your seat and heading towards his table.
Immediately, he stiffens, panic rising more and more as you get closer to the table. Kriff what if you’d noticed him staring? What was he supposed to say to that?
All thoughts screech to a halt when you come to a stop across the table from him, giving him one of those devastatingly adorable smiles. Fuck.
“Commander Cody” you greet him, giving him a small salute, cheeky smile still on your face.
With the way he's staring at you, anyone would think you'd just caught him falsifying reports or something. So you raise your hands in mock surrender.
“No need to looks so scared y’know, I promise I don’t have any needles on me this time."
He rolls his eyes, smiling despite himself.
“What’s this about needles?” a voice pipes up next to you and you turn, jumping slightly at seeing two troopers in 212th armour looking up at you from their seats.
You glance back at Cody, questioning look on your face. Cody takes the hint, nodding towards the two men as he introduces them to you.
“These are Waxer” you turn to look at the trooper he’s pointing to, smiling when he send you an excited wave
“And Boil” the second clone raises his cup in greeting, giving you a small nod.
The first one, Waxer you think, stretches out his hand for a handshake, smiling brightly “That’s us. Finest men of the 212th, at your service ma’am”
You accept the hand shake, chuckling when you hear Cody muttering under his breath "One time, I said that one time."
So you weren’t the only one who enjoyed getting on the Commander’s nerves. Good to know.
“Mind if I sit?”
Cody shrugs, waving his hand towards the benches in what you assume is a gesture of permission. You lift a leg to climb into the seat, stopping when you realise the two troopers are still sitting there, effectively taking up most of the space.
Cody frowns, turning to look pointedly at his men
“Don’t you two… Have somewhere to be?’”
“Nope.” Boil says, popping the p for emphasis, his brother next to him shaking his head in agreement. Cody's scowl deepens, raising a brow at both of them
“Well I suggest you find something to do before I choose it myself. Latrine duty’s been looking real empty for a while-”
Before you can blink, both men shoot up out of their seats, helmets tucked neatly under their arms.
“On second thought, we have that thing, don't we Waxer?”
You watch amused as his counterpart frowns, eyes widening in realisation when his brother gives him a sharp elbow to the ribs “Oh. Oh right yes… that thing. How could we forget.”
Their commander watches, unamused as they give him a salute, turning to you to give you a nod (and a wink from Waxer) before hurrying away together towards the doors.
You giggle, sliding into the seat and watching them disappear around the corner before looking back at the man in front of you. He's already staring straight back at you, and it makes you stomach flip pleasantly.
“They're funny.”
Cody grunts, rolling his eyes for what feels like the 6th time “They're a pain in my ass, that's what they are”
“I doubt anyone is ever not a pain in your ass Commander.” you smile, winking playfully “Except maybe me.”
“Especially you.”
You laugh merrily, not taking the comment to heart in the least. He watches again as your face lights up, eyes zeroing in of the crinkles on your nose as his stomach flutters uncomfortably. What the hell was wrong with him today?
He shifts in his seat, clearing his throat and quickly changing the subject.
“I though you said you were never going to bring up the needle incident again.”
You grin, tilting your head “Did I?”
He nods.
“You said, and I quote 'It’ll be our little secret’. Not much of a secret if you tell all my men.”
“Oh please, it was only two of them.”
“Trust me, telling Boil and Waxer is basically telling the whole GAR”
“Sorry, couldn't help it” You grin, not looking in the least bit sorry “It was too cute to resist.”
He scowls, but it doesn't quite reach his eyes
“…Cute?”
“Yeah, real cute”
“It was not cute, it was a moment of weakness.”
You shrug, grin only getting wider “Like I said, cute.”
Cody scoffs, but you don’t miss his cheeks warming just the slightest shade of pink “You're impossible.”
“Aww, thanks.” You quip back quickly, and he can't help the dumb smile pulling at the corners of his lips. You never missed a beat, and it was karking hot.
A surprisingly comfortable silence blankets the space between you before Cody clears his throat again.
“So… Got any plans for shore leave?” he asks, trying to keep him voice as neutral and nonchalan as he can.
It seems to work because you just shrug, hands fiddling with the cup on the table in front of you “Dunno, Kix was trying to convince me to head to 79’s with him and the boys.”
Cody perks up. 79’s was good, neutral ground, public enough that it would seem too obvious but still personal enough that he could get some one on one time with you. He shuffles forward in his seat, elbows leaning on the table
“And… Are you going?”
You glance up at him, narrowing your eyes teasingly “Why do you wanna know Commander?”
His lips part slightly, trying to think of a way to phrase it that didn’t make him seem too eager.
“Just wondering whether I should comm the Corries. Let them know to look out for trouble at 79’s tonight”
For a second, you look the tiniest bit crestfallen, like you were expecting a different answer.
But as quick as it's there, it already gone. Replaced by that fucking perfect smile that he's starting to get addicted to.
“No need Commander, I doubt I’ll be going anyway.”
Oh. Okay so definitely not the answer he was hoping for. He racks his brain, trying to think of a subtle way to pry further without seeming too eager.
He’s so lost in thought that he doesn't even notice his comm beeping until you look down at his wrist, pointing at it.
“Don’t you maybe wanna answer that?”
He frowns, confused before his brain catches up, quickly lifting his wrist to his mouth and clicking the comm line open.
“Cody here” he grumbles, still scowling slightly at being interrupted. Another clones voice crackles through the comm, smile evident even through the transmission.
“Commander, we have a uh… situation down at the barracks sir”
“What kind of situation?” Cody asks carefully
“A ‘Boil and Waxer’ situation sir” the clone replies, Cody’s brows furrowing deeper at the sound of snickering in the background “You’d uh... better come down here, Sir."
Cody sighs, long and loud, scrubbing a hand down his face before muttering a reply “I’ll be there in 5”
He clicks the transmission closed, lifting his gaze to send you an apologetic look, but is surprised to see you still looking at him with the same smile as before, not in the least annoyed.
“Those the two from before? The ‘pain in your ass?” you inquire, biting your lip to quell your giggle and he grunts, nodding in conformation.
“Unfortunately.”
You chuckle, placing two hands on the table to push yourself up from your seat “Well, I’ll let you get to it Commander. I’ll see you ‘round”
You send him one more cheeky smile, before swiveling on your heels and turning to leave. Just as you go to take a step, Cody reaches out to grasp your elbow, stopping you in your tracks.
You turn, brows furrowing in question and he swallows, gathering up the courage to ask the question that’s been on the tip of his tongue.
Swallowing down his pride he takes his his hand of your arm, licking his lips. Fuck it. If he can body-tackle droids in the battle field, then he could handle a little rejection.
“Maybe I’ll see you outside the GAR uniform next time. Say… 2100 hours at 79’s, tonight?”
You turn to face him fully, smirking and tilting your head as a teasing tone takes over your voice.
“Commander, are you… asking me out?”
He shrugs, but the way he's still looking at you expectantly, hands clasped together behind his back betrays his nervousness. The next grin you give him though, is so genuine and blinding that it immediately sweeps all the doubts from his mind.
“It would be my pleasure” You smile, giving him the same stupid exaggerated bow as you did last time in the med bay. This time though, he doesn’t even try to hide his smile, eyes crinkling as he shakes his head fondly.
“I’ll see you there, Cody”
You send him one last wink over your shoulder, before turning and heading towards the doors. He watches you go, eyes unable to tear away from the back of your head until you’d slipped past the doors and out of sight. He slumps down in the seat again, dumb smile still on his face even after you’ve gone.
Kriff, you were something else.
This is gonna sound strange, but can you give us some incorrect quotes for the rottmnt OC’s? (If you know what incorrect quotes are) I just thought it be fun and maybe someone might draw it 😂
Omg dude, I love incorrect quotes, you don’t even know—
So of course I’ll give you some.
Ronin whenever he has to team up with the Mad Dogs
Raph: You killed him.
Ronin: Actually I believe he died of natural causes.
Leo, checking the body: knife to the neck.
Mikey: I thought you said he died of natural causes.
Ronin: There is nothing more natural then dying from a knife to the neck.
Donnie, nodding: What would be unnatural is if he survived.
Ronin: See Donnie gets it.
Adriaen: Donnie's a lab explosion away from being a mad scientist, that doesn't help your case.
Raph: WHO ATE MY LEFTOVERS?! WHEN I FOUND THAT PUNK I'M GONNA-
Adriaen: It was me.
Raph: Give them some more. You haven't eat much have you?
Adriaen: That’s not funny.
Ronin: I thought it was funny.
Adriaen: You don’t count. You started laughing in the middle of a funeral because you started thinking of a meme you saw on Facebook.
Mikey: Sometimes I drink milk straight from the container.
Leo: The cow??
Donnie: What?
Raph and Adriaen: Leo, W H Y?
Ronin: I dare you-
Raph: Leo is not allowed to accept dares anymore.
Ronin: Why not?
Leo: “I have no regard for my own personal safety”, as some would say.
Adriaen: I have the sharpest memory. Name one time I forgot something
Leo: You forgot me in a Walmart parking lot, like, three weeks ago.
Adriaen: That was on purpose. Try again.
Adriaen: Leo, can I talk to you for a sec?
Leo: Oooooh…someone’s in troubleeeee
Raph:
Mikey:
Donnie:
Adriaen:
Leo: It’s me. I don’t know why I said that.
Leo: Hey, do you think I could fit fifteen marshmallows in my mouth?
Donnie: You are a hazard to society.
Ronin: And a coward. Do twenty!
Ronin: Would you take a bullet for me?
Mikey: ….Yes?
Leo: *Angrily bursts into the room*
Ronin, running away: Great thanks!
Adriaen: I fell—
Leo: From heaven?
Adriaen: No, I literally fell—
Leo: In love with me the moment you saw me?
Adriaen: MY ARM IS BROKEN!
Leo: Okay, but do you think I'm pretty? Be honest
Ronin: You can de-escalate any situation by simply saying, 'Are we about to kiss?'
Ronin: Doesn't work for getting out of speeding tickets, by the way.
Raph: *sitting on top of the fridge* Hello Adriaen, welcome back!
Adriaen: Why are you on the fridge?
Raph: I live in this house, I can sit where I damn well please.
Adriaen:
Adriaen: Where's the spider?
Raph: Near the bathroom, I panicked.
Ronin: So like, how many swords do you own?
Leo: Sword of a lot.
Ronin: Blocked.
Leo: Parried.
Ronin: Wanna hear some dark humor?
Donnie: Fine.
Ronin: Okay.
Ronin: Knock knock-
Donnie: I'm sick of your shit, turn the goddamn lights back on.
Leo: I would like to offer some friendly advice.
Donnie: I don’t need your help.
Leo: Consider it unfriendly advice then, fuckface.
Ronin: *sitting on a bench*
Adriaen: Why do you look so sad?
Ronin: Sit down with me so I can tell you.
Adriaen: *sits down*
Ronin: This bench is freshly painted.
Adriaen:
[In the group chat, feat. Ronin]
Donnie: For the last time, “your” and “you’re” are different things!
Donnie: “Your” is a possessive, and “you’re” is a contraction of “you are"
April: My fire
Leo: The one
Raph: Desire
Mikey: Believe
Adriaen: When I say
Ronin: I
Leo: WANT
Raph: IT
Mikey: THAT
Ronin: WAY
Donnie: I'm blocking all of you
*Donnie has left the group chat*
And that’s all. Artists, do your thing
”I love you.” Kate whispers as she stares at Y/N with utmost admiration in her eyes. The love is so clear and strong in her voice, it almost feels heavy.
Y/N freezes when she hears the sentence. Her eyes are wide, like something catastrophical just happened, as she stares at the bright TV, afraid to turn to see Kate’s face.
”I love you.” Natasha plays with Y/N’s hair as they lay on their shared bed. She has a small smile on her face and a gaze full of love. It’s the first time she’s said the word.
Y/N bursts into a huge smile, staring at Natasha. “I love you too.” She giggles, so happy to say those words to her girlfriend. “I love you so much.”
Natasha laughs, pulling Y/N on top of her. They’re both giggling and kissing each other, just having a good time in the midst of sadness. The blip has after all been their life for five years now.
“See you in a minute, love.” Natasha grins, giving Y/N one last kiss before they all get sucked into a different time.
Y/N didn’t go with Natasha, she went to Asgard in 2013 with Thor and Rocket, as the group didn’t really trust the two together.
After the very short time in current time, that felt a lot longer to them, they arrive back to their time, everyone having the stones with them. Y/N looks around the circle with a huge smile, looking for Natasha’s eyes. But she never finds them. She frowns.
“Clint, where’s Natasha?”
Clint drops down to his knees, mumbling quiet apologies. Y/N’s eyes fill with tears. She walks away from the group.
“What?” Y/N turns to look at Kate. Her brows are scrunched together and her mouth is in a frown.
Kate’s smile starts slowly falling when she realizes Y/N doesn’t look happy with her confession. “I- I just, you don’t..have to say it back. I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have said it.”
Y/N stares at Kate as she rambles on.
”You know I love you, right?” Wanda turns to look at Y/N. They’re sitting on a park bench, staring at the different people in there while holding hands.
“I know.” Smiling lightly, Y/N turns to her. “I love you too.”
“Good.” She tightens her grip of Y/N’s hand. “I know these past years have been hard, but whatever happens, I’ll forever care about you.”
“Is everything alright?” Y/N tilts her head to the side, studying Wanda’s face for any kind of inkling of something being wrong.
“Yes. I just wanted to remind you.”
Y/N leans her head against Wanda’s shoulder. “Okay, if you’re sure.” Wanda stays quiet, only leaning her head against Y/N’s.
“She’s not coming back, Y/N.”
She stares at Stephen Strange with an emotionless look. “You don’t know that.” She mumbles, not quite sure of her words.
“The Darkhold has completely corrupted her. She wants to kill a child, Y/N, a child.”
Y/N stays quiet. She knows Wanda isn’t coming back, she’s too far gone, but she doesn’t want to accept it.
“I won’t hold back when she tries to come and get Chavez. Do you understand me?” He sounds angry, for a good reason.
“I understand.”
“Everyone I’ve loved has died when I started loving them.” Y/N says suddenly, stopping Kate from rambling. Kate stares at her with a slightly open mouth. She doesn’t know what to say to something like that. “I’m not a good person to love.” Y/N mumbles, lowering her head to look at her hands, busying herself so she wouldn’t have to feel the burn of Kate’s eyes on the side of her head.
“That’s not true.” Kate whispers, gently setting one of her hands on top of Y/N’s. “I find loving you so easy and wonderful. Your love isn’t bad and it hasn’t killed anyone.”
“You don’t know that.”
“Yes I do.” Setting her hands on Y/N’s cheeks, Kate moves it so she’s looking directly at her. “I know you are a good person and so are your feeling. And I want you to love me.”
“I don’t want you to die.” Y/N’s voice cracks.
Kate shakes her head, rubbing her cheek with her thumb. “I won’t. You’ll say it when you’re ready, okay? But until then, I will tell the whole world how much I love you.”
Y/N nods, she closes her eyes and giggles quietly at Kate’s dramatics while leaning her head closer to her. Kate smiles, kissing the top of her head before cuddling her close.
